Wow.  Golem has lost $150 million in a day!

Still, it was waaaaay over priced.

The whole market was/is way over hyped and inflated and now some of the hot air is finally leaving.
Nevertheless, Elastic is undervalued compared to any of the other projects in the same field and despite the correction that is happening and is still due in the market.

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

I suspect it is temporary though.  It will start inflating again within a few days.

I've yet to see a good analysis of where all the billions have come from this year.  It could be central banks pumping it up for all we know.

It's supposed to be people from the Far East (mainly Japan).  As a result of low interest rates people are looking for new investments that give a higher return.  The new legal status of bitcoin in Japan has created FOMO there.  That is the official story I've been hearing but not sure if there is anyway to be sure.

When i found out the truth about Lannister i was shocked. Very sad to hear that mr Lannister nearly buried this project. These 700 btc were a chance for XEL to play on another level in crypto.

I heard that story too, but I've never seen the evidence to back it up.  I wonder if we'll ever know?

It's an interesting thought, but it's not only in Japan, it is very strong and people are very interested! India is also in the process of legalization! Many billions of dollars can be injected! Asians are very interested in Elastic! Just Elastic entra em uma troca oriental para ver uma enorme FOMO!

Hey LamboMoonYacht

Dont worry about XEL exchanges and Xel itself, you wont get cheap XEL anymore.

We can succeed without exchanges. I am currently developing an escrow service with automatic withdrawal and deposits (XEL/BTC). Also Mobile apps and a windows lite wallet without any full node elastic install.

Please take care of all losers with an IQ below 60. It is getting uncomfortable here and it makes no fun to reading regularly.
What began like an interesting discussion between scientists and researchers quickly transformed into a huge shithole. I wonder where such people come from???

Pretty sure they're trying to discredit the project so they can scoop up cheap coins. They only started appearing once the litewallet and OTC trading started.

I think the lite wallet should be renamed to trade-wallet or basic-wallet. It's not really a lite wallet, but a wallet that is not yet fully featured.

Nice work devking.

I think this helps illustrate what several of us have been saying.  Elastic is a community project...people are contributing in the ways they feel are best.  Yes, ultimately it will be nice if there is a foundation w/ a couple of community leaders, but the bulk of the work will probably continue to be done by people that volunteer their time.

Exactly and am sure there are many people like myself who will be happy to support a foundation with funding.  I'm not rich but I am happy to contribute.  I would rather be part of something important than just make a quick buck.

Hey guys, bought some XEL from heat and withdrew it to my XEL wallet. I read that it takes 20 confirmations on the Heat blockchain to receive the XEL but it's been almost double the confirmations and nothing showing up yet. Anyone have an idea how long it takes on average?

How can a community run project develop a supercomputer? Seems like something that requires many top notch developers...

Not sure but you could try asking in the HEAT forum too:

Thanks coralreefer, I'm developing (C#) in my free time, may take little longer as I'm working full time. I always believe in elastic. Only foundation part is pending. I'll donate more.
