Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

If you think the party is over you were probably not invited to the real one...

Also a dip now is good for the long term health of the project, helps distribution.

We're at a transition point at the moment.  We're moving over from a working virtually for free approach to one where people get paid for the work they do.

We need to detail out the work that needs to be done and by whom.

We need to look at who we need to hire, how we can hire them, mechanisms for paying them and so on.

Do we set up a foundation? How do we control the funds? Do we have a voting system for the issuing of bounties for work?

This is a major transition and we need to understand how similar community projects have dealt with these issues.

The price of Elastic may well dip on the Exchanges, but we need to get ourselves sorted out, so we can have a clear path forward.

The input of the Elastic team is vital to this process and when they're ready, I'm sure they'll step forward and state their views and opinions.

You can "stake" it to earn a share of transaction fees.  Not much right now but might be eventually.

I don't think you even understand what that means.  If you knew anything about XEL then you would know that there are 100m tokens maximum so the only gains can come from transaction fees.  Your success in mining comes from how much stake you hold so that could be considered a form of POS.

I do know and I've read any thing I could.

I am not talking about Mining. I am talking about Staking.

I did not find any where information about XEL being PoW or PoS.

Hence I am asking, if XEL is PoS and if so which type of, if there are minimum amount needed?
How is the taking method works? lock them on a wallet?

Also I wonder if there are masternodes..

Staking is a form of mining in a sense. There are no master nodes and no minimum to stake.  Also it is called forging in the wallet.  Just try it for yourself and you can see.

As the exchange discussion continues to grow, I just want to reiterate something....Elastic is not like other coins.  We are not (or at least should not be) marketing Elastic to the crypto community, our target user is University Faculty, Scientific Community, Researchers, Data Analyst, etc.

We are still a ways from being ready for them.  Behind the scenes we are working hard to finalize various parts of the design.  I just hope that the recent push to shove Elastic into the spotlight is not pre-mature...to me it is.

Edit:  These target users probably have no idea what crypto coins are.  They expect the highest quality papers, communications, etc that are on par with the professionals they are used to working with.

So we need to develop roadmap on this line.
