XEM ICO price was at 2(!) Satoshi - 2.250.000 for 0.045 BTC. Now it's at 5k Satoshi.

That's just plain wrong.

that´s so wrong I don´t even know where to start.
I participated at XEM Ico and I know how much I paid for what...
It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

Considering waiting til all of it gets claimed to buy into XEL....

I don't quite understand forging on the web wallet. When I log in it says I am forging even though I never specified that anywhere. Is it enabled by default?

Also, when I log out I am give a choice between "Logout" and "Logout and Stop Forging". So if I choose just Logout and then shutdown the browser, the wallet is still forging?

That's right. It's enabled by default.

And if you logout, forging continues in the background, even if your browser is shut down.

XEL has a current marketcap of ~$16m. I see a lot of room to grow, even before the full version is released.

Some managed to get NEM's stake even for free. All you needed to do is just post "Interested".

Thanks for the explanation! Is it safer to NOT forge using the web wallet or does it not make a difference? I know when you login obviously your credentials are sent to the server but I"m wondering if leaving it on forging opens up some other attack vectors.

Well, according to the developer's words, it's not safe, unless you trust the node owner.

To clarify - it is not safe to forge with the online wallet, correct?

Correct

why it's not safe?

BEcause t generate blocks, the client needs to know your passphrase - because every block you generate will need to be signed (on the node which you use for forging). If you use a local node, this is safe! If you use a remote node, you must trust it not to log your passphrase and empty your wallet at some point in the future.

Time to accumulate between 8000 sats to 12000 sats.

XEL's future is bright.

Look at medium term and see it at 80.000-100.000 Sats Smiley

price depends on a lot of things

If you have the wallet all it takes is clicking on "Forging" at the top and entering your password.  Make sure you are running on your own computer though.

It requires full wallet, yes?
Unlike like Xem or LSK or Waves where's ability to "stake" delegated?..

Is full wallet resource-consuming?

To forge you also need at least 1000 XEL on a balance (confirmed by 750 blocks) and make sure that port 17874 is open.

Yes but it doesn't take a huge amount of resources - I have it running in the background.  Delegation or Leasing isn't available yet.
