XEM ICO price was at 2(!) Satoshi - 2.250.000 for 0.045 BTC. Now it's at 5k Satoshi.
That's just plain wrong. that´s so wrong I don´t even know where to start. but what's coin supply? Xem has 8,999,999,999 XEM total supply (circulating amount is equal) and if coinmarketcap tells correct XEL has Circulating Supply 80,461,214 XEL Total Supply 100,000,000 XEL so 10times less.. Total Supply is 100,000,000 XEL, but only 80,461,214 have been claimed till now. The Rest is still in Genesis Account. I'm sure there will never be claimed the full Supply. Some may not remember they donated, some lost they private Keys, ... And by the Way, Elastic has nothing to do with XEM, XEL is based on nxt. I haven't claimed my coins yet. That's my retirement fund or my kid's trust fund stash.  Like long term value stocks.  |

I am also curious of the interest rate on forging. There's no interest rate. XEL is fixed supply. Forging means that transaction fees from the block go to the forger. Forged block may contain zero transactions (and fees). |

Way too little. You might want start forging with 1000 only if you wish to support the network. It doesn't bring much here at the moment even with much bigger amounts of XEL because transactions are too rare, so there are no fees to collect. Better to wait until we have a PoW ability. Yeah, altcoins are bleeding. And Elastic dropped significantly as well. But that's what community wanted by releasing a litewallet, right? When bitcoin price starts to go up (which is just a matter of time), it will be a very good opportunity to get in XEL. |

People are afraid that BTC will drop more. They want to exit crypto so they sell XEL for BTC and then BTC for fiat. With hope that they will buy back in few months much lower (or never). At least that's how I explain it myself. Bad launch timing for donators, good launch timing for anyone who wanted to join XEL cheap. If you don't have to exit crypto for fiat; If you know how and can control your nerves - just stay calm and wait. This drop is all around crypto, not only XEL. XEL didn't had enough time for better distribution. There are still many original holders in XEL that's why when 500k holder feel panic he doing tx to bittrex and just sell at one shot, creating big red candle and being glad that he's still at some profit. Hard times for all crypto. Also releasing computable part today (assuming that we will have it ready) will not help at all if we're referring to price. People still just want to jump to fiat. What's best for XEL right now? Just wait, develop (get back on testnet as soon as we can), test and observe crypto world. Best timing for release computable XEL will be at the moment when people will be enthusiastic again looking at crypto. |

Yep, very unlucky launching time.
Well at least this is going to lead to a better distribuition and early donators who are getting out are still receiving a very good ROI.
Personally I have not been selling any of my XEL. I truly believe in the project and the community, let's see when a full functional wallet will be released.
