Agreed, the last time someone dumped down to 5k it filled my order and I didn't expect it at all, a few weeks later it was 500% higher. I don't know what some traders think, but the majority are panicky idiots. If you real clever traders can dump down to 5-6k I'll be very happy, quick save your BTC! History repeats itself Cheesy

It would be nice to see XEL on another exchange, so there wouldn't be a such a huge amount of coins on the same exchange.

A lot of people are angry because they are so short sighted.  Lots of FUD too which is normal for a great project.  Just keep holding and forging if that's what you are doing.

I'm afraid that as soon as BTC price goes back down, that altcoins keeps going down too. It used to be the other way around... but these days, with each major BTC movement, alt just keeps going down...

Wow BTC such moon.   Alts are getting DESTROYED.  I'm just gonna average down on some of the great long term projects and patience will pay off nicely.

The BTC discharge is indeed devastating everything, but we must wait for correction! The altcoins will soon, XEL will not be left out! I started buying my first XEL recently and I'm having a great opportunity.

Do not panic.
After hardfork (BTC and ETH), people will start buying altcoins back.
A little patience.

Bitcoin is growing. But this is not a flight to the moon in percentage terms in comparison with other altoin currencies.

The growth of the rate is caused by the interest of traders in the possible hardfork currency, Bitcoin Gold launch and talks around the support for SegWit2X technology. Experts predict the growth rate until October 25, after which a correction is possible.

I would agree that is likely true but nobody is certain what will happen. If BTC keeps heading up ($10k-20k) Alts could really go to shit, I mean really low back to ICO levels maybe even lower. I hope that doesn't happen but everyone should be prepared. Unless something for XEL is going to be announced soon, you never know what someone else is willing to sell at to pull BTC out.

Yeah because this rise is all about good bitcoin software upgrades, not about the fact that they will 'hand out free' altcoins if you temporarily hold btc.

It doesn't really matter why BTC is rising, it just is the direct reason that alts are down. It is just like August fork when all alts exploded straight after BCH, but then BTC wasn't rising as hard at the time. Nobody currently wants 90% of alts because they are still in early phases of development, that is why you have people crying all over BCT blaming devs or attacking the project as they are losing BTC. BTC is all that people want at the moment for this rise, and nobody knows where the top is going to be. The only thing that matters now is what another XEL holder is willing to sell at, and if BTC keeps going up to a few people they could be happy to sell at 5k, or 2k or even 1k but my guess is that probably won't happen.

Guys, it's all a matter of timeframes. BTC is rising and it is taking a bigger % of the total market, but that will not last forever and the entire economy will grow along with it. I f you have enough patience you will see alts rising again and XEL with it. In addition to the fact that I have no doubt that XEL will have good positive news that will be making an impact also in the market. This is a long term hold, not a quick p&d project (even if price is manipulated from time to time).

Yeah that is exactly right. If anyone is here for the long hold and you only mainly care about XEL, then I would just ignore the graphs and current price as it will recover. Either come back a few weeks after the fork, or even next year at some point. Crypto is the most volatile market in the world and these things happen all the time.

There is too much focusing on the XEL/BTC price. The project was not created to make anyone rich. It is a great use case and idea. I know it can hurt to see the investment dropping, but that's not what all this is about.

Currently Im working on C# implementation of elastic coin and completed basic functionality like generating address, encoding and decoding transaction etc.

Access source code from here https://github.com/rajbandi/elasticsharp.

I'm working on this in my free time.

Features(Currently supported)

Native implementation in C#. Not dependent on api.
Generates a new address from mnemonic on the fly.
Creates a new transaction and decodes existing transaction and signs a transaction with a secret phrase. Currently supports basic transaction only (i.e amount ones still working on message and attachment transaction types).
Cross platform support (works on mac, linux and windows).

Pending

To support message, attachment transactions
Sending transaction bytes to server. This will prevent sending clear passwords to server.
Mobile apps
Wallet GUI in all platforms without complex installations.
Standalone client listening other nodes in network.
Node RPC/JSON api

If you are a C# developer, please contribute.
