Can anyone please share the steps to start forging? The freaking tutorial (and interface) is mind-numbing.

i need something like that too.
Infact i don't even know what forgin is...can someone explain or link me something?

Forging is nothing more than verifying Blocks for their validity also know as POS (Proof of Stake). In the process you get rewarded with transaction fees on your validated Block.
You need to have minimum 1000XEL on your balance to Forge, you can start Forging after your balance is confirmed for 1440+ blocks. To start Forging you need to have local node running 24/7 and activate it with click of the button.

thank for you answer man.

Just a few more question:
1)what happen if my pc reboot or it just turn off for few hours?
2)how many xel i gain in e week if i have 3k xel in my wallet?

Thanks in advance!

ad 1 - you will not be forging, and won't receive fees from forged blocks for that period
ad 2 - there's no block reward in XEL, so your income depends on the fees included in the blocks that you forge - since there're not too many transactions in the network (at the moment) the fees are not impressive. With 3k xel you won't earn too much - depending on the number of forgers you'll probably get a block once per several hours, or even once per few days.

how is the project going..

i was promoting Qtum earlier, and it become a 1 billion dollars market now..

i hope Elastic become 1 billion dollars market.

You will probably be waiting a good period of time, but XEL is definitely deserving of it.

I agree with you. People are comparing elastic with golem. Please look at the total market capitalization. 22.3m $ elastic and 180m $ golem. Which means nearly 1/9. this project has big potential for short-term and for long-term. 1b $ market cap. is a long way but not impossible.

we will have to see how everything plays out. I don't really like price speculation, but I believe a bigger market cap would help to spread the word and more people will be trying the platform when fully released

thank you for the answer.

Nevermind if the income are not so much.  I didn't choose xel for the forgin (i didn't even knew it), but because i think it's a really great idea!

The XEL project looks a bit stagnant, or is it difficult to develop?I always believe that supercomputing power will drive the whole blockchain industry. Its market is huge.

The technology of decentralized cloud computing has tremendous potential. I have tokens of four competitors in my portfolio. I wonder who will manage to capture the market.

I suggest you discuss competing projects in their respective threads. Each project has its own for a specific reason.

Those charts in the old thread look pretty good long term.  Lots of consolidating while the devs continue their work on the main net.

exactly.

lol love how ppl call it stagnant...?! really?!  why don't such ppl get in touch with the actual team/devs to see HOW work is going, cos in the background many teams are working, and whales are accumulating. Wink  Cool

this coin along with BAT, SHIFT, BIS (bismuth) and the new WBB (CHBT) will fly in 2018...prob all at differing times and should all give big returns.
i would say ADK but it's already huge returns but will go up more and more Smiley

There will be a lot of attention around XEL and many other good projects when their times come. For now people aren't looking as they are under the radar, many good unnoticed projects out there currently. All the FUD about XEL being stagnant is ridiculous, there are many active members on the Slack and the project is just in early phases of development. Couple more years and XEL will be huge and it is my favourite project in the cryptospace currently!

What is the projected schedule for development?

There's no schedule. The devs contribute within their free time.

You can watch the progress in github here

Definitely Under the Radar.

Those who HOLD On to their Elastic will not regret it at all in the long run.

Seems like Golem has been on a down trend too.

But XEL > Golem

And if you look at the marketcap Xel is 20 times less than Golem

Golem also has an 8x higher total supply, if XEL devs can deliver then this project will be worth a lot. Maybe more than Golem, but as I understand both have different use cases so both could be very valuable in the long run, but I am backing XEL to be the more successful of the two.

All of the distributed supercomputers are currently not better developed. Is it too difficult?
