I'm somewhat confused.
Is the xeline wallet developed by the official elastic dev team or an independent one?

The original tweet talking about scientists blowing our minds does not make it very clear, though it seems to suggest the latter case.

Yet people here talk about xeline.org as if it were the new official elastic site.

If it is an independent team, it is very encouraging to see them have enough faith in the value of the project to actually go through with something like this
xeline wallet or if you want xel command center Grin is indeed developed by independent xeline development team. In collaboration with ek ofc.
xeline.org is not a replacement to an official elastic website, its rather an enrichment and an awesome addition to the elastic project.  Cool
Website itself is work in progress and will contain basic insight and introduction to the project, with all important links to social and dev resources.

Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

it's really great to know multiple people work on the project. Btw, the slack link on https://www.elastic.pw doesn't work Sad

I am happy to see the new xeline project !

Navigating "https://xeline.org/#whatisxel" I found this

"OpenGL for the support of GPUs for task solving"

I think , I suppose ( and hope ) it is a typo and it means

"OpenCL for the support of GPUs for task solving"

Anyway good job guys!

if you mean full client, that one is still testnet only. if you want to run a node and forge for rewards then this is the correct link

I expect more from this because XEL only has 3 markets and its volume is not more than 50 BTC.
I hope in the future we will see XEL will be available in exchange like Kucoin or Idex. If getting Binance it will be very special.

The exchange itself looks nice, but the German translation is awful. Let me know if you need a translator from Germany :-)

Just wanted to give it a try, but when I set XEL to BTC exchange, the "You Get" field displays nothing indefinitely (the green circle is spinning around all the time)

Also, after clicking "Exchange" this message pops up

Quote
The XEL/BTC pair is temporarily unavailable for exchanges. Please provide your e-mail address below and we'll let you know once the pair is ready for quick and anonymous exchanges. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Sucky that Golem continues to climb and Elastic continues to drop, does this mean people see Golem as the better project? I am much more invested into Elastic personally.

Give it time, the word of the day is "Decentralized". They'll come flocking to $XEL sooner or later. Just keep on accumulating.

Good words. It is only necessary to understand the project more deeply and evaluate its competitors, as it becomes clear that XEL is the best! As soon as the main network is launched and the marketing campaign begins, competitors will swallow the dust. Cool

And when will the mainet go live? Are there any independent reviews comparing Elastic to its competitors like Somn of Golem?

I don't see how anyone could do a comparison w/o looking at the code.  We already know xel has completely different use-cases that any other similar project, so that comparison doesn't do much good.  The difference is that only one of them actually works...but what do I know...keep in mind I'm biased towards xel

can you tell something more about the different use-cases of xel?
I've always thought that xel can be used in every case! I've always thought that there is no limitation of xel's implementation!

Go to XEL's newly published site:  https://xeline.org/

And click on the top link for "What is XEL".  It will give you an idea of some of the types of early use-cases I would expect to fit in XEL.  But in general, XEL if for deterministic problems that can be processed in parallel.

Downloaded the wallet, it autoinstalled without asking me where do I want it (please fix!)
I found the folder deep in Appdata folder, copied it and moved wherever I find it useful - ran without any problems
from the new location.

Wallet is dark, very small font, poor readability (please fix!)

Withdrawed some fake test XEL coins, ran a calculation which took some of the coins for the task.

mining requires complex instalation of Docker and a lot of command line, so not suitable for
lazy miners like me.

I'll check the progress in 6 months.

That website template is one used by 100s of different projects, no thing special there. Not sure which team member profiles you are referring to

Quick follow up question: What is this „ridicolos“? Sounds like a greek island somewhere around „mykonos“ that the cosmopolitan traveller should definitely pay a visit to?
