i think to test a new gambling site is easy, if the site have a faucet to start, then we can test it without deposit our money. especially if they can give some amount for new members to test their site before new members deposit their money. i think play money is enough to start for us because from play money, we can know if the site is really good or not. and then after we deposit and start to play with our money, we can trying to withdraw some amount and let see that how long they can process our withdrawal so from this, we can give a good rep or bad rep to them.

I think it's rather prudent to stick with old gambling sites rather than the new ones, most of the new websites will just scam you out of your bitcoins and when you win at times they won't even pay your winnings.

I would personally just avoid playing on new sites and only play on the ones that have been around for at least a year or more.
Even if it all seems legit at first, they could just take your money and scam you.

Established sites could also do that ofc, but it's just far less likely because they're making more money by not scamming in the long term.

I think you got the point.. but testing can also help for smaller amount i think we can say its nothing to us but you can gain an experience if the site doing fraudulent when you are gamble with small amount for test and its suspicious better to go in well known sites or gambling casino rather than gambling that you don't know its fraudulent or provably fair..
The other thing you can post the site here and ask by many gamblers here since many gamblers here are knows about gambling so they can help you to know if its legit or not..

Check if the site is using provably fair service and if you don't know how to do it, read about how it works first and at least check if you're getting a fresh seed every time.
Read their TOS and check if it's not copied from another site. Play some games for free to test them if that option is available before you deposit anything.

This is excellent advice, although this is not testing the site yourself, you can look for reviews of the site and if there is none then you can write your own review by following the previous advice and tell potential gamblers about what you like about the casino, what you don’t like and the things that in your opinion are fine but could get an improvement.

Actually their behavior here at bitcointalk determines their future too. If a owner/admin is not active in the forum usually the site would be scamming in future and they might never reply to your query either.
But if a admin is active like how crypto-games admin is doing, they are usually having no issues with the site. But that said any site can scam anytime and we can't even imagine what's their plan further.

Yeah and one thing I have noticed is that if a site is offering up too many bonuses even when no other sites usually provide they are scam, more when the bonus is a deposit bonus scheme and the site is a common dice script, I have seen some lots of sites who often come up in the games and rounds section and try to scam gamblers by giving lucrative offers like deposit 1 and we give you 1 free.

There are a lot of gambling sites with faucets. At least when it comes to dice. For other type of gambling you can try to find no deposit bonus, but I think those are hard to find, because you can play on most site without ID verification, so it's hard for houses to offer those bonus, or they would be exploited for sure.

First of all welcome to the crytoworld !!!, For me my advice for you is that before you put money on a new gambling site you gotta do your own research online view the reviews and the rate of other people about that site. When you are sure that you want to try it don't deposit money on it right away read the rules and regulations of the site. They might say that you can withdraw on a specific amount of money and other rules for them and another thing is that there are other sites who give you free coins and lets you try and play their site so try check on those before you finalize your decision.   Hope it helps

It's why I said make reading a habit so that you will not have any problems when you started to deposit to them. Though I'm not saying that most of the new casino's are turning into scam but there's a need to take care of your hard earned money and securing it that it will go the trusted casino. And playing with small amount is a good try.
