GIGABYTE AORUS RTX 3080 Gaming Box External Graphics Card (mining ready), each gaming box is self-contained with water cooling and PSU.
These devices have been altered to include a "PCI-e" extender that directly connects to the GPU. This enables them to connect to the PCI-e slot on a motherboard, similar to a standard GPU card. However, each box is a stand-alone unit with its own power supply and water cooling. This modification allows mining to be independent from one another.

have you tried this with i7's, i'd also look into 16 to 48gb configurations
