There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

 My "userpike" account got hacked. I don't understand what they stood to gain but whatever...I don't think I can recover it either as I never posted a bitcoin address that I remember anywhere to prove to the mods I own it.  oh well..

lol I know right...

yep so I'm a newb again...lol

I wonder if I showed a mod all the PMs I have saved in my gmail account would it be enough proof it's me. I guess I should ask.

What I don't understand is why the person stole my account. They can't get anything out of it. The haven't posted anything either. ..just locked me out, to be a dumb dick.

Maybe it was a troll who didn't want to have a newbie account and look like a total idiot ...

Hi,
I have few questions please:
What's special about this coin?
Is the dev still around? last time was active was mid July?
Is it worth mining this coin

Last time I was active was Aug 1  Wink
To mine, you will need a large amount of hash power - last I looked, there was 3.21 GH total network.
If you had 30 mh going for 24 hours, you could get around 0.1392 BTB (at current rate about 0.00071016 BTC worth)

I think what makes Bitbar special is there are only 500,000 total bars to be created. Much more rare than your average coin.
The PoS reward is 5% annually, to help keep up with inflation and give a little interest - like a savings account.
It take 520 confirms on a mined block - about 3.5 days - this helps to keep people mining and dumping (I hope).

I guess they lil bit lazy... Cheesy

Integrated Distributed Ledgers
A whole world of different blockchains living together in a single network based on DAG. No more gates, bridges, portals or special nodes connecting blockchains into a single whole. Only one p2p network, consisting of blockchains of various types: from private for state and corporate networks to public for crypto projects.

Shouldn't need addnodes but easy to get - on the Bitbar website http://bitbar.co click on the status tab at the top of the page.
Currently there are 26 connections. Pick a couple, or click the "copy to clipboard" button, and you can paste the whole list into your config file.

dedicated nodes are:
addnode=65.102.140.115
addnode=65.102.140.117

I think the last blockchain backup I made was a year ago. I'll add that to my todo list [note to self]

I had to delete the whole wallet.
And download the blockchain again.
Peers joined and then all disappeared.
I used a longer old version.

I'm now downloading and I have 5 peers  Shocked Shocked

The older version wallets won't connect any more, the dnsseed address was for our old block explorer, and it's not available any more.
But that's ok, new block explorer - new wallet  Smiley

news from Livecoin.net:
Support (chief):
Hello.
We have a good news for you. We decided to close voting, due to a huge queue of coins going via direct payment. Only a few coins from the voting list will be listed, including Bitbar. We already scheduled listing of Bitbar. It won't happen tomorrow, but it will happen quite soon enough.
