Since this is a POW/POS coin, what is the formula to calculate the current interest rate. How does the POS rewards work?

Is it the reward constant like PPC or dynamic like NVC?

You can still sell them for 0.06 BTC per coin, so there are still people mining which means the coin definitely isn't dead.

It's a far cry from the 1.5 BTC per BTB that people were paying the day the coin came out. That price puts the market cap of all ~4,000 BTB at a somewhat respectable ~$24,000, but it is slowly dying. There is a such small volume that the price is lazily declining.

Unfortunately for those that purchased the first day (~2,500 BTB minted the first day), at a peak of 1.5 BTC per BTB, the market cap of the first day was ~3,500 BTC or $350,000.

That's all lazy math, but to answer your question; no, bitbar isn't dead, but it is dying.

More profitable to mine than BTC. At least with non-asic equipment.

Bitbar is not dying and never will. Its just pricing-in the low starting diffficulty.  Its current hash rate is over 200mh/s

My initial question was what the ROI or interestrate of the POW blocks is.

But nobody answered two days long, thats why i thought its die.

Can anybody answer my question now?

It has always been more profitable to mine than bitcoin, and for the past few weeks it has been more profitable to mine than litecoin.

Combined that with an active dev, and it's going strong. It's not one of the coins that is just pumped out and the dev forgets about.

I think the interest rate is 5% per year fixed for POS, if that's what you meant. Your bars are eligible for generating POS blocks after 30 days, just like other proof of stake currencies.

Coinwarz is very wrong and is causing some major problems. I can confirm. Have contacted the dev but there's no response.

I don't understand: my bitbard shows Diff=2.67, seems CoinWarz is right and CoinChoose is wrong to me.

All the pools and exchanges are on the same block as the explorer.  If your client doesn't say the same last block you need to delete all you /appdata except the wallet.dat and re-download the block chain.

I just did a check to make sure CCE was not on a forked chain.

Fresh download and compile of Bitbar with a fresh chain download:

Code:
/source/bitbar/src$ ./bitbard getinfo
{
    "version" : "v0.4.0-nvc-8-g30741b0-beta",
    "protocolversion" : 60005,
    "walletversion" : 60000,
    "balance" : 0.00000000,
    "newmint" : 0.00000000,
    "stake" : 0.00000000,
    "blocks" : 13918,
    "moneysupply" : 3988.40594900,
    "connections" : 8,
    "proxy" : "",
    "ip" : "xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx",
    "difficulty" : 10.47127399,
    "testnet" : false,
    "keypoololdest" : 1372643002,
    "keypoolsize" : 102,
    "paytxfee" : 0.00010000,
    "errors" : ""
}

I know CoinChoose uses CCE as an information source. I do not believe I have had any communication with the owner of Coinwarz, so I am not sure if they use CCE as an information source or not.

I'm trying to find the latest stable source for this coin.

The Gibhub source has a v0.6.3 tag.
The http://bitbar.biz/downloads page says "latest is 0.4.1"
The mirror on that page has a 0.4.3 zip download.

What's the safest place to get the source? And what version is it?

0.4.3 is the latest thought it's semi-unreleased. You can still download and use it though.

In terms of difficulty, just open up your miner and find out, or look here, the biggest bitbar pool: http://btb.ltcoin.net/main.php

Difficulty is currently 10.59. Coinwarz is very wrong.

Cant seem to get the wallet to respond, it downloads the blockchain, but the gui stays frozen with not responding message. I've tried 4.2 and 4.3, opening bitcoin-qt, moving folders, this is the only wallet I'm having trouble with.

Well it's working again, I opened up some shitcoin wallet and let it sync.  I'm not sure if that's what fixed it or clicking my heels 3 times and spinning in a circle did it.  Hopefully it stays up for awhile.  Maybe the devs can work on making the wallet not so flaky.  I've got 12 generic shitcoin wallets; bitcoin and litecoin, no issues with any of them.
