I'm going back to solo mining. Maybe I have more luck than the pools...

I feared a lot more breakage. Another milestone successfully left behind by YAC. Cheesy

There is something fishy going on if all of the major pools went down but blocks were being found every 20 seconds... AND the difficulty is rising. Meanwhile my hash is only 60% of what it was with the new N... WTF? Angry

I know, but if you first take away a large portion of the network hashrate from yac.dontmine.me and decrease everyone else's hashrate by a good 20-40% due to N factor, difficulty should not increase and blocks shouldn't be found so quickly.

I guess you should join a pool, you could be waiting a long while otherwise.

Block 60811 time 15:14:24
Block 60812 time 15:16:49
Block 60813 time 15:17:49
Block 60814 time 15:18:33
Block 60815 time 15:18:47
Block 60816 time 15:19:50
Block 60817 time 15:24:06
Block 60818 time 15:24:15

Over 60 seconds on average so "blocks shouldn't be found so quickly" does not hold the water.

The difficulty was increasing meaning blocks were found too quickly.

So, any change on the N factor?
Didn't see any modification with the difficulty ^^

I'm curious, was everyone imagining that when N increased, difficulty would instantly drop (and thus, block reward would increase)?  That's definitely not how it looks in the code.

12:47:52 "difficulty" : 8.31729230,
14:16:23 "difficulty" : 8.30236373,
18:13:05 "difficulty" : 8.34893527,

I don't see major changes with difficulty or block generation rate, sorry.

Nevertheless, it is still increasing which is the opposite of what I would have expected with the N change

Now 8.51242517

the difficulty decreases this morning from 8.7 to 8.2
manwhile the block value rises, because the block values depends on the difficulty
the hashrate decreases 26% of every cpu, but the hashrate of the network increases
thats why the difficulty rises again

expected on may 17th
decreasing of hashrate about 20%
difficulty then should be 10-12
block value 14 YAC

My guess is that the difficulty adjustment is too slow and the starting difficulty was too low. So now, the difficulty is still trying to catch up and is increasing, just not as quickly.

Is there a website where I can find all the latest information similar to what is mentioned above?
