If that's the legit support of localbitcoins then why you have to complain? You want to get back your account and let that forced holiday removed.

The only thing that you can do is to ask the support on why they have to do that. They won't bite you by asking curious question on why they are asking it.

They are the only that can answer your question on why they keep on asking for identification.

When you do more trading, the site will ask for more documentation to verify your identity.
First verifying your email or phone number is enough, but when your account reach a certain stage the site will ask you for more documents "ID".
Also, when you do not access to your account for a while, changes your IP address, or someone try to access your account, you may be asked to re-verify your documents.

i verified my account once and then again when i lost access to my account, so there is a possibility that they are trying to stop me from trading.

I went through the same embarrassment and I confess that at the time I was very annoyed because it seemed that they were having fun with the things they asked me until I had to take a picture of me holding a signed paper and my computer screen, had to say my provider of internet, handed passport and asked me many questions. well that was months of nightmare, so try to stay calm and deliver everything they ask

so there is a possibility that they are trying to stop me from trading.

I also thought about it at the time and gave up using locallbitcoins as soon as I gave them everything they asked me to do

No idea why. If you had already verified your account once, then they wouldn't need your ID a second time since all of your personal info would already be stored in a database owned by them. I've never had this issue myself.

The only time they asked me to verify was after they implemented the rule that if you aren't verified, you are not able to actually put out any advertisements.

As sunsilk said, it's better to consult support about this, even if it means waiting a week for a reply. It's most likely a mistake on their end, tbh.

But LBC does have a lot more complaints about ID verification these days, seems like they're really tightening up as well.

Your attitude of becoming an impatient person will not help you on this situation.

You look familiar and that's why I checked your post history and you are also asking the community if its okay for you to become a campaign manager.

Though this is quite an off topic. You have to be patient and you must be.

Understanding on why they are slow in reply, I don't know what's the reason but before most of the reviews were positive and quick in response.

I got a reply from localbitcoins they have activated my account.

Nice to hear, what was the reason for localbitcoins asking for your ID this many times though? Did they mention it?

I received emails from LBC saying that my trading volume has been significant over the past 12 months and they recommend that I verify my identity as soon as possible. I don't think I'm the only one that has been asked to do this either, pretty much everyone with 1+ BTC volume I think has received this message.

I have a feeling that they're going to force every user or at least users with significant trade volume into verifying their account soon. Following the requirement that anyone that wants to post offers has to get verified, this doesn't seem too far from the truth in the near future. I wonder if them asking you for ID repeatedly has anything to do with the same regulatory pressures that are forcing them to "recommend" people to verify their accounts, also.

Hey that's good news to hear.

Did they enlightened you on why they asked you for another ID compliance? Next time don't be impatient as long as you are complying to what they asking, you are good to go.

I have a feeling that they're going to force every user or at least users with significant trade volume into verifying their account soon.
I'm also having this kind of feeling that they have to do it and this might be related to some AMLC rules and regulations that they must follow.

I guess OP everything seems to good now so you can now lock this topic.
