For me it's almost the same.
I'm using old cards (AMD 7790's).

The main difference is within the Tribus kernel, the newer sgminer goes through 2 searches vs. one giant search.

What is your -I (intensity) flag set to?

Intensity is set to 17, but it doesn't make a big difference between 16-17-18.
As I said, I have old cards, and not an optimized system...

Your R9 270x aren't working with sgminer at all? Did you try both versions of the sgminer? Do you get any error? What Catalyst Driver version are you using?

  bet i win to have the oldest system
i use igpu lol its an apu, at most i get 1 coin per day (pool ofc)
but i do this by fun, i like rare coins more when they are starting
also its the reason i will be hunting all the possible bounties for my skills
to pick some more coins

... Do you get any error? What Catalyst Driver version are you using?

For me: both miners work with my apu (thats cool) without slowing down the system until Intensity = 16 while doing other things in my cpu,
 my driver is ccc 15.7.1 (the new ones are no longer compatible for my old amd, its legacy gcn1):

The first one miner is working fast, average pool accepting 2/3 of diff shares and only works by putting in the password a diff of d = 0.002 because otherwise it throws a lot of "pool requested work to start" and do not submit

The second miner takes up to 2mins to submit a share but the good thing is that they are always diff shares acepted

I like to see what the gpu is doing so i am using the first miner, i think i need to tweak a bit more my conf to squezze a little more or maybe its because i dont know this algo tribus and i have not much reference for what its the average hash for my igpu, even if the thing its old its working fine when mining decree or pascalite i get 50Mhz but with tribus its working very low 900 to 1000khz

anyway its cool people with apus and old cards can have fun too with the coins so please dont "leave us out" creating just miners for new drivers, let us at least a basic version even if not optimized, just for fun i like to mine while i am surfing the web

The Gitter room and bot look good, but no one uses Gitter, especially noobs. Is there a way for the bot to mirror itself on Slack and IRC like Bittrex's IRC bot does? You can be in #bittrex in IRC OR in Bittrex slack channel and see everything in both rooms.

I do believe that is easily possible. I will have to contact enkayz when he is back online tonight as he has the source/built it. I do believe its mainly written in Coffeescript/Javascript so it should be easily compatible with Slack and IRC
