Other coins were hit, but denarius is still on peoples radars and has always been a target, so guess which coin hit the news.

What other coins were hit?

I forgot the list, but New York coin was another that I remember off the top of my head. This account I think was listing them, but twitter appears broken for me to find the tweet. https://twitter.com/MisterCh0c

Well it's linked in the news article, but he deleted the tweet, so the image of the list is gone.

I think FUDcoin took on the Darkcoin name after Dash abandoned it.

If you have downloaded the windows wallet AT ALL - YOU ARE INFECTED
Please explain how you get infected by simply downloading the file and not running the executable.

So you have taken the wallet.dat from the old wallet and now added it to the new wallet? If so then that old wallet.dat could be still be infected from what I understand. You need to send the coins to a fresh new wallet or like Carsen said to Coinomi and then once you have a fresh new wallet send the coins to it.
Only one thing.... is the file wallet.dat infected to the virus?? if is infected when i transfer the old wallet.dat in my new pc the problem is the same...... i need info about this....
The old wallet.dat file is infected or no? we need info about denarius dev......
That's bolloks. Wallet.dat is a database file, not an executable. It would take a very crafty and smart trojan to spread via wallet.dat. The reason you are advised to generate a new wallet.dat and move your coins there is because if infected, one would assume your private keys from the old wallet.dat are compromised and your coins might be stollen.

3.3.7 runs nice and smooth once again.

Some options I was playing with. Compile Ubuntu QT on Windows WSL and run through Xming. Run a VM of Ubuntu. Or I just dual booted a laptop with Ubuntu. Also eventually going to figure out how to get this running in an Alpine Docker.

Cheers! I am glad v3.3.7 is running smoothly so far for everyone, we really got a lot of bugs ironed out.

I don't want to get everyone here super pumped, but.....I am currently working on possibly porting our native wallet to Android for a full staking/FortunaStake wallet on mobile.

The version of Denarius, v.3.3.7, also run smoothly on my computer.
As usual, updates of Denarius bring better performance and experience than previous versions.

I am noticing on my Win10 QT that the ram usage and cpu usage have both dropped. A nice little surprise. Anyone able to compile denarius daemon on Alpine?

A quick rundown of how to do this on an Android Phone or Tablet. Something is broken in latest Android (9.0), so it may not work on anything really up to date. Android 5.0 I think is the minimum.

https://github.com/buzzkillb/termux-ubuntu

Use Ubuntu 16, then grab dependencies, git clone denarius, git checkout 2.5.2, git pull, go to src and make -f makefile.unix
If someone can figure out how to compile 3.3.7 like this, that would be much appreciated.  Cool

Going good with QT in Ubuntu and Windows since 3.3.7 update. Daemon appears stable as well.  Another dev is helping me out with making as streamlined of a docker container as possible. Tongue

If you are new to the Denarius Windows QT Wallet, some basics. Probably useful for any bitcoin forks to get started.  Cool
