Europe is having a declining birth rate because people just prefer having small families. They can hump all they want and have 20 kids like some people in the Middle East or Africa but they don't want to.

What really matters is the capability of that person to rule rather than its sexual preference. In leadership, it sees no gender to rule since it is not all about that. Well surrogacy is an interesting topic. Third world countries are probably banning it because they feel their people are being exploited. But then again, if a woman wants to bear child for someone else, that's her decision. Assuming the woman is not loaded with harmful substances, it's a mutually beneficial agreement. The woman get the money she need to start her way out of poverty, and the couple get to start their own family.

It shouldn't be at the expense of other people's well-being. It is something that really needs a deeper discussion. I remember seeing news of straight couples before that would ask relatives and friends to act as surrogates for them. That might be a better way than paying women in third-world countries though there maybe problems of their own, since the egg/sperm donor is known.

Maybe go buy some eggs/sperm from a bank, and then IVF a relative? I guess that would be better since the donor is anonymous but the surrogate is someone you know and wouldn't exploit.

The former GP and son of an Indian father and Irish mother, won the vote by 57 votes to 50, with 47 abstaining. His parents Ashok and Miriam were present to see him receive his seal of office. The couple met when they worked in an English hospital in the 1960s.

Varadkar’s partner, Matthew Barrett, who is a doctor, was also watching. Varadkar came out as gay shortly before the 2015 same-sex marriage referendum in Ireland during an interview with RTÉ, Ireland’s national television broadcaster.

I think this is a big deal for the once Catholic Republic of Ireland. But times are changing now. And people are not defined by their sexuality.

There is no way this will not go round the whole world where people see beyond the issue of person feelings and focus on what really matters which is competence and this is where some developing and third world countries are getting it wrong. I am sure jf it were to be those countries I made reference to people like Leo Varadkar or the new prime minster in France will not even have the opportunity to taste power.

Don't really know why this stuff is hitting the news but I'll chime in. I think people who are gay should be equal and shouldn't have any sort of problem with stuff like this, what they want to conduct with their sexual / romantic life. It shouldn't affect their life out of the bedroom and I'd expect people who are normal to respect this decision of theirs to the highest degree. I hope that this guy does a wonderful job, and I hope people don't involve his sexual life into anything that he does.

It is disgusting to sell their children through surrogate motherhood, donation of eggs and donation of sperm. Adult children do not sell, but on their cages or only newborns want to earn money. This is degradation and I do not support such a scheme. Childless couples with traditional sexual orientation need to undergo treatment for infertility or can adopt orphans.
