Running the demo of Butter Bot and it seems to wait too long to trade.  20/42 EMA settings, trade frequency is at 30 minutes,  Buy 0 and 0.15, Sell 0 and 0.10.  20 crossed over 42 at about 707 but Butter Bot didn't make the purchase until 727.99.  By this point BTC is already starting to trend down.  Suggestions?

It's been a bad week for trading EMA in general, too much sideways movement and we can't seem to establish any kind of trend. Unfortunately these things happen with EMA bots, but once we get some more volatility in the market, we should hopefully cover the losses from the past few days.

Night gathers, and now my bitcoinwisdom watch begins.

It sure has been bad lately. No clear trends up & down in any sizeable way. Seems just enough to trigger the bot then just enough in the other direction to trigger some losses, very frustrating to watch. I lose $80 here, $100 there, then another $60 here again. Then there goes my whole bot deposit for the month. Hands are tied, the market's just doing what the market does.

I must have had about 20 or so [bitstamp] Buy order triggered emails yesterday.

There was a few USD in the account

Has it happened to anyone else?

Tho it has stopped sending them once it sold the BTC

Also hooked up to btc-e and just got the  normal amount of emails.

HiPBigMoon Smiley,
This has to do with how the BTC-E and Bitstamp API's work, please add a few more funds, a good 25 USD should be enough to avoid this issue.

Please let me know how I can continue to help Smiley.

Pablo.

BTC-E Graph
************

I have gotten a lot of emails about this and I would like to let everyone know we are working on our own graphing solution and a release to fix the BTC-E graph issue and end our dependence on BitcoinCharts is forthcoming.

I appreciate everyone's patience with this cosmetic, but annoying issue.

Please let me know if anyone needs anything  Smiley.

Pablo.

Hi Jonsi Smiley,
The testimonials are real, you can see check with the people named in them; I think all of them area actually on this thread. We did use stock photos because it's not easy to get people to show their real faces on the web Smiley.

If you decide to give us a try, just let me know how I can help :=).

Hey Pablo,

are there any plans of integrating Ichimoku in v3? Would really love to see that!

I bet that would be one of the possible engine modules for V4. That indicator is way too complex to just "bolt in".

I've gone through the past 30+ pages in this thread and can't find anything relating to a question I have, which seems like it should be pretty common:

Can I use Butter Bot on multiple exchanges simultaneously from the same machine with the same license? I only have one desktop PC that I trust to run Butter Bot, but quickly I discovered that if I open two Chrome windows, the bot settings will duplicate between the two, which makes it seem like I can only trade on one exchange.

Would there be any way to set up separate instances without resorting to the installation of a virtual machine? I'd like to be able to trade a few exchanges (ie. BTC-E, Gox, Bitstamp) at the same time to decrease my risk in the form of one of these places rolling up overnight or being "hacked".

Night gathers, and now my bitcoinwisdom watch begins.

I don't do so myself, but I believe you can do what you're aiming to do. There's even a new feature of the bot to allow you to override the global settings and set per exchange settings for the bot now. I haven't seen much talk about doing multiple exchanges at once on the forums, but I assume it's been done.

Awesome, thanks for the response. I had noticed the "override global settings" box, but didn't select it because I had no idea what kind of effect it would have. But once I tried just now, it brought up another unique engine configuration, so all looks good.

Just so you know, all of this is covered in the USER GUIDE you got with the bot.

The answer is yes, I use it on btc-e with one setting and have a separate one for MtGox.  It trades both at the same time.

And I believe I asked this very question in the thread and had it answered...
