I don't really understand what you mean, because bitcoin price always fluctuate, one day it will rise and in the next day it could be decline. Depends on your perspective, how much it is to called rise up? Based on today highest price, this week highest price or last ATH? The answer will be different obviously. After all, no one really knows when it will increase or decrease against USD.

It is not mandatory that a crash follows the rise of an asset. Look at the share price of Intel Corporation. The prices increased from $0.03 per share to almost $60 per share during the 1987-2000 time period. In 2000, there was a crash, but the prices stabilized at $35 per share. Similar pattern has happened with BTC as well. The prices have increased from $0.001 per coin in 2009 to $3,000 per coin in 2017. And now it seems like the prices are stabilizing at $2,500-2,700 levels.

it will continue going up as long as the demand for it is increasing because the supply is fixed (and the new supply is created at a fixed rate which decreases every ~4 years with halving). and the demand is the adoption of bitcoin which is happening.
these crashes you see are only corrections not crash. and they are big only because orderbooks are still thin.

This can be influenced by so many things. For instance Bitcoin is pretty scarce! There will only be 21 million BTC in existence ever!To be honest it will be less due to lost lost private keys etc. And the US keeps on printing it's shitty dollars! So what do you think is going to happen with BTC's price over the next few years? Well I'd say it's probably continuing moving up! There will be corrections, downwards moves for some short to midterm period of time as well, however this will just be some more dips in the big picture.

It's hard to predict distant future. I don't think that we will see bitcoin price decline during our lifetime. But again, there are too many factors to include in this speculation.

The chart will tell you on how long bitcoin's price will increase. And as the normal movement of the market, when there's a big demand expect the next into is many supply will come out after. When it comes to pricing, after traders get enough profit with the current price of bitcoin that is going to start them to buy again. There's no way for it to decrease, lower than $1k.

For how long, as long as demand is present and bitcoin was being used in any ways, the price movement will continue to move and will have a USD or any fiat value. Bitcoin will really look as a currency that will continously to gained more value in the future because we have lots reasons to believe that it will happen. Actually we are living the proof of it now.

And of course unusual thing can happen on the way as there is risk always. Take care of the risk and you will be fine later.

Bitcoin will continue to go up (in price) as long as there are people who demands Bitcoin in contrast with the available supply in the market. Bitcoin is volatile and its price frequently increasing and decreasing (good and bad side respectively? It depends on your POV).

Bitcoin is a currency on it's own and I don't see the effect of what dollars will have on it because its just expressed as a currency which means if dollar as a currency is reducing, all I just need to do is to change it to euro and my 0.15btc will remain the same. The stock price is one of the most lucrative scam of the century in which everybody just looked away the reason for that is because there is hardly any family you won't see someone not investing in the stock market but in that case, it was only rising compared to bitcoin that has been swinging across increasing and decreasing.

Lol, this is easier than predicting the weather in a hurricane, daily, hourly and within almost every minute there are movements up and down, small very small, but it is there.  So, decreasing Bitcoin value, within seconds, however, the obvious trend is near constant upward long term growth.

Yep. When there is something that is so good, like bitcoin price going up so much every single day, there will ultimately be a crash.

Whether or not we have peaked at 2900 USD or so, i don't know honestly. To be honest though, I think that it is much more likely that the market will retest 3k USD, and if it breaks 3k finally it will be able to set a new floor of 3000. If not, then we can see a major outflow of capital out of bitcoin, and therefore generating a pretty big dump.

A lot depends on the UASF on August 1 though. If it goes well, then bitcoin's price could still bring another round of pumps. If not though, bitcoin will split into two, people will look at altcoins, and everything will be a complete mess.

Well, nothing will last forever.

The price is stabilizing which could mean either of three things.

- Price is just going to keep hanging around the $2500 region(in my opinion this is going to be the best option available
- Price is going to jump up over $3k, and then come back down again potentially down to $2k
- Price is adjusting once more back to $2k.

If you don't feel confident holding your bitcoins, simply sell any portion of it. That way, you get profit if bitcoin goes up, and your losses are reduced dramatically if bitcoin goes down.

The market is pretty volatile and expect the market to go in  both directions,there will be a time when it goes up and some times i will correct itself,that is how market is and you cannot find a market that goes only up,since OP is looking for a correction,it might happen pretty soon,it depends upon how things will go with the scaling.

In the long term the stock market has gone up, but when it comes to the short term there are bubbles and distortions of the market, that is the way it works, if you think the price of bitcoin is too high then short bitcoin or exchange your bitcoin for fiat and then when the price get lower get more bitcoin by the same amount of money.
