Joking aside, I think Slush did the right thing by offering the choice to vote.
Initially it was looking as fail-over to backup, but it seems more and more as a vote against BIP101 - no person (with over 1PH) would stay for over 24h on the wrong side with all the stats provided from Slush and posts in this thread stating the obvious and pointing to the right ports both here and on twitter/facebook

I tried to find via the regular website anything about the BIP101 discussion or port numbers. I found nothing. Anybody enlighten me, or do I have Tweet/Facebook to hear how to use Slush's pool? Personally I think it's silly to use Twitter or Facebook for this kind of stuff, but I am an old fart.

The only thing I see on the site is

Aug 24, 2015 :
Sharp rise in BitcoinXT voting right now ! stratum+tcp://stratum.bitcoin.cz:3301 stratum+tcp://us-east.stratum.bitcoin.cz:3301...

Everything else looks like it is on social media with more detailed announcements.

We don't tell you if big or small. It's your choice!
Right now, every Slush Pool miner can vote for larger blocksize.
Simply use one of following mining URL to do so:
stratum+tcp://stratum.bitcoin.cz:3301
stratum+tcp://us-east.stratum.bitcoin.cz:3301
stratum+tcp://eu.stratum.bitcoin.cz:3301
Please note that voting does not affect Bitcoin network in any way at least until 1.1.2016.

I too find that a little silly, and I use Facebook lol

Looks like you have connectivity issues .... the first fall in hashrate is clearly that (all but two workers offline), and the rest are most likely intermitent connection / connectivity issues.

This is also FB. You can see it in FW feed on the side. Last news is merged mining... And Yes I agree some don't ignore FB or Tweeter but I do. If I were to ignore This forum I would had no clue how to mine XT. And even that was not easy to find... I submitted to development conner a proposal. But to this moment it is still waiting for approval... Can someone with tweeter of FB msg pool about this...

Nice.  Glad to see that added, and there is a small pop up on the Home page to direct you to that help screen now.

moving to stratum+tcp://eu.stratum.bitcoin.cz:3301 is voting for XT/BIP101.

because when the pool was 16 PH / S, earning 0.008 per block, and now that the pool has 31 PH / S 0004 gain?

What is the question here? Pool Hashrate almost doubled so your proportionate payout essentially halved.

Do you mean .004?

Yeah that is normal.  It doesn't have anything to do with changing the port to vote for BIP101.

Well concerning the NEW Hashrate increase.

I think the one thing you are missing is ANTPOOL.

Over the past couple of days, Antpool has been suffering from several Blocks taking from 5-10 hours to complete.
Many people from there are getting a negative profit, and are getting pretty ticked off about it.
A lot of people are saying it is because of Hashnet and the new BIP101, but that can be speculative at this point.

I think as soon as ANTPOOL get's there sh*t together, Slush pool may see the Decrease in Hashrate.
And now Slush Pool holding at almost now a 9 hour block HuhHuh

Just wanted to bring this into the mix.

Be good.

Whoever is moving their big hash here is more likely a farm hedging against something, or against BIP101 (thus voting for the status quo), the latter more likely applying to the over 2PH switchers. Another theory I hold is they are just here for the free ride (and the NMC bonus to boot!).
Saying that, the coinscape has shifted a bit with the bold BIP101 (and XT) support thats been shown networkwide. The fall in BTC rate, as a consequence, also makes slush quite appealing to "bigger" miners, what with (as mentioned above) being fee free and the inspired merged mining. May the luck improve!

There goes a block to end that drought. After the luck Slush has been having, that slow down was surely warranted.

In another few days, the "0% Pool fee" should be over, right? It will be interesting to see if some of the recently added 15PH goes somewhere else after that. Most interesting will be that single 12PH "whale" and his/her actions.

Yep, I agree, It will be interesting to see who stays.

As Antpool is having less problems now, and the blocks are hitting quicker.
I think the move will happen shortly.

No fees. Great.
NMC?Huh? Still haven't seen a positive profit from that. Or maybe I am not reading it correctly?

Just about 4Tb on Slush is about $7 ish.
On Antpool when normal, 4Tb is about $10+ ish.

Big difference.

6 more days to go. Im also curious about the pool hashrate.. (with 33.6 Ph/s we should have around 12-13 hits a day)
