This explains how it works when the miner disconnect during the round: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1976.msg50002#msg50002

"Basic idea is that older shares (from beginning of the round) has lower weight than newer shares, which demotivate cheater from switching between pools inside one round. Once cheater disconnect from pool, his submitted shares lose value, so he cannot perform "Raulo's attack" effectively."

This means that I lost the connection at the end of the round?

FWIW, I went to bed leaving HHTT as primary and Slush as secondary and Slush was up and running when I checked this morning.

It is the most likely explanation of your issue.

cool
I know what it is like to disconnect at end of round. It pisses you off. I don't get many shares anyway. I disconnect my score goes to nothing. All that work fort nothing. Don't pool hop. Just run one pool. Slush is always up. I have been mining with just 728 mhashs and made 350 in 2 a 1/2 months without price spike. He must be doing something right. I have a question slush? Why is my 6870 solve greater diffculty share than  my 5870?

I'm having a problem connecting more than one client/worker at a time.

I'm using the latest guiminer, just for CPUs, and both rpcminer-4way.exe and rpcminer-cpu work for me on these I7-2600s.... But only on one machine at a time. The other machines just sit there trying to connect, listening, but never connecting despite increased CPU processing.

My account only shows that the 1st worker did anything too; all the others have a 0 under their efforts.

Any idea what's doing that?

Thanks in advance.

Im sure it is a virus, or an attempt to steal passwords.  Either way I reported it.  We dont need anyone using this website to exploit people.

I'd say anyone savvy enough to write a program to "Inject Blocks" would know the difference between a block and a bitcoin... *sigh*

Slush (or anyone else paying attention)- Do you know of any packaged USB miners out there are work with stratum?

I've checked out a couple of them (linuxcoin, live miner), but they all seem to be abandoned projects.

Yeah, I'm on bamt right now, and was hoping to be able to find a build with the new cgminer built in.

I found this site http://bamtlinux.org/, and it initially gave me hope.  but it looks like someone just got motivated for a month and then forgot about it again.  Downloads links are still "coming soon" since December...

Oh well.

Yes, they are dead. Actually their miners are quite obsolete, cgminer made excellent progress comparing to them. So you can run stratum proxy on BAMT pretty easily, or install cgminer on standard linux usb distro.
