Anyone else with connection issues right now? My rigs have been off for 30mins, both by proxy and direct fallbacks get nothing.

Ok. Fuck this. Time to find a new pool until we get an answer on what is going on.

Exacty.  3rd time in last 3 days this has happened.  I can't see any reason to stay here any longer.  3 hours of mining to get the equivalent of $0.30.  Normally i get about 0.05, but 0.0026 come on.  It's not like I'm a slow miner (20GH/s x 2 and both got screwed).

17995    2013-05-12 05:35:52    3:07:09    25945750    49070    0.00266237    none    235787    25.49480000    92 confirmations left

Leaving until the next DDoS...

Yes, fourd00rgtz, accounts page indicates my miners did not submit shares for 30mins too. Was on stratum3, now changed to stratum, seems ok now.

I had problems with missing shares on Slush for days and reporting on forum about that. I lost out on about 12 rounds. When I got noting for 4 rounds in a role I moved to Bitparking since it have merged mining on stratum and I must say extra income is great. The only problem is that the pool only have 1 to 1,5 gh and luck is a bigger factor... But there are no Slush problems so you don't need to monitor miners all the time. Even if you loose a connection at the end of the round you get about the same... I must say I like it.

I got it again myself.  It seems like a regular occurrence lately.

still I reckon this will be recalculated in the next block we find.

This is why I am leaving this pool.  Look at your numbers.  Then look at mine.  FUCK THIS.

I think i know what's wrong, it is the score of individual miners not resetted to zero after a new block is found...

One of my miners has 6 digit score while another miner with same hash rate has score of less than 100

That means if someone has a huge score that has not resetted, they will get a monster share and the rest of us will get next to nothing. But this only happens when we found a new block right after a new block is found by some other pool, cos as time goes, the huge lead that miner has will be caught up by our newly submitted shares.

This is only a guess, I could be wrong...

One of my miners has 6 digit figure score while another miner with same hash rate has score of less than 100

It's not after a new block is found.  At certain intervals the pool resets all miners back to 0 as baseline.  If you mine for the first 4 hours on a 5 hour block you will make essentially 0 since there will be a reset sometime between when you quit mining and the when the block is found on the 5th hour in this example.

I too noticed some of my scores were a 6 magnitudes higher than other miners with the exact same setup.  2 1250MH/s rigs, one had a score of about 4k, the other was in the millions or billions.  Whoever gets lucky enough to get those messed up scores gets paid extra and everybody else is having their rewards "stolen".

So in essence the pool is making you play a lottery.  If somebody could figure out how to trick the pool into keeping the score up then they could basically steal the 25 reward of the block.

So whoever chooses to stay here after seeing this consistently is asking to be a victim.  I PMed Slush after the first occurrence 3 nights ago, no reply.  He is a standup guy.  His pool right now is behaving otherwise....

Just within a minute ago, I have a total "Current shares" of around 3525 yet this is the corresponding data for it: "Estimated reward: 0.00000094 BTC".  Now, why is that?

Edit:  Not only that, one of my miners has 555 shares yet the score reads 0.0048.  This is nuts!

I haven't mined for that long, but the short time before the ddos, things were diffrent.
There are so many weird things happening with the stats so something must be wrong.

And with Slush being silent, I'm afraid something bad has happend.

This pool is like a runaway train.

I have moved to BitMinter.

I think after the DDOS slush needed time off, but I think now he needs to come on here and explain the blocks that we all are complaining about, the ...25 one is the killer, i got .00000079, my normal is around .0075.

And again last night another block screwed up.

Its becoming too regular and people are losing out, me included.

So would be nice for an explanation from the man himself and not someone WHO thinks they know.

I would agree with Joolz, whilst i'm new in comparison to the age of this pool, All the reading I've done up until now leads me to believe Slush is a pretty straight up guy, I'll stick it out until he can come online and comment on whats going on.

+1 @ joolzg

We need the info from the horses mouth - but something is not quite right

17995   2013-05-12 05:35:52   3:07:09   25942499   3065   0.00295187   none   235787   25.49480000    84 confirmations left

And as stated previously, Slush is a decent guy, who has worked hard to have an excellent identity and reputation of which i'm sure he does not want damage that hard work.

If you look in the alternate crypto section (LTC / FTC etc) - its like Dodge City! New pools popping up / disappearing / not paying / scamming

Cool.  Great thing for guiminer users, then.  Never tried mixed hardware using it.   I do know it is an issue with others - like cgminer or bfgminer.  I pretty much use cgminer exclusively these days.

No problem with CG... You can even use best SDK and driver combination for every card...

Thanks for all the answers

I know my forum name is confusing. I began with an old GeForce card, but I have a friend who works with computers, and I have borrowed other cards from him. Currently, I am running one AMD Radeon HD 6700 series.

The driver is version 12.104.0.0, from the 13-4 installer. I have been switching drivers back and forth because I have been trying to mine on that card simultaneously with a 4850. No matter what I do, I couldn't get that to work, GUIMiner didn't start, it only got a tray icon that soon disappeared. With some drivers other programs crashed. As I said, I have spent at least six hours and twenty reboots on (not) getting it to work. I think I got all other drivers out before installing the one I just mentioned.

I think the problem lies in the drivers, if you search AMD.com, you will find that a 4000 series card don't use the same drivers as  6000 series card.
Mixing 5000, 6000, 7000 cards is ok because they use the same drivers.

I have tried to install different drivers for the cards, and I have tried installing a previous version that supports both cards. Neither worked. It seems to be the combination of the new card and anything but the new driver that makes GUIMiner not start.

Now, when I am running only the new card, Phoenix and Stratum Proxy, it stopped working tonight, a few hours after I started it. I restarted the miner this morning and it worked again. I hope it's a one time occurance, but I doubt it. It didn't happen with Phoenix and BCPool. Any guesses?

My estimsted rewards seem to be about right. I'm not exactly sure what they should be, but they are not in the 7 satoshi order of magnitude... Currently it's 0.00051612 and I've been running 200 MHash/s for 1.5 hours.

Just what i said before - it just takes some time. Backends are pushing their data at some time and trigger recalculation - have you noticed that some ~800 new shares have appeared?

I agree that ~3h (in this case) is too much time to wait for that push, but only Slush can say why is that and if it is normal or not. He said (wrote actualy) he has 9 backends and as we can see there several millions of rows/shares to insert - it takes time and processing power, which for a hosted service means money. Slush has to balance between the delay and hosting prices or ... increase the pool fee, which i am sure he (and we) do not want.
