The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

They've probably shipped at least a couple of thousand units according to Jody's shpping blog.
Anyways, it's getting obvious bitcoin mining is killing itself by overfertilization. A couple of song lyrics come to mind:
"Now the party's over, and I'm so tired" (AVALON, Bryan Ferry)
"As sure as God made wine, you can't wrap your arms around a memory" (BUTTERFLY on a wheel, Mission)

Right to the point.  Grin
I thought of Avalon too, but didn't remember the other one...

So, if bitcoin stabilizes below 100, all investments on asics will prove negative...?
On the positive side, if BTC drops even lower, BFL and AVALON will start shipping units...

A Jalapeno will probably pay itself pretty fast anyway. Avalons are a bit more expensive and power consuming and will take longer.

But I'm pretty sure BTC will rise again. If my theory is correct it mirrors world economy status and right now things are looking better, but that's not going to last forever. Personally I'm gonna keep my BTC for a long time.

Anyone else getting some funny results with 18481 as well?

18481   2013-06-09 07:27:23   1:55:53   21128042   1295   0.00000289   0.00001035   240547   25.03220000    98 confirmations left

for comparison

18467   2013-06-08 07:46:53   1:51:32   22029843   1276   0.00133798   none   240367   25.11510000    confirmed
18455   2013-06-07 15:19:28   1:54:51   22203035   1386   0.00160477   none   240244   25.15792127    confirmed

I don't think I lost connectivity but I can't say for sure since I don't log/monitor 24/7.  It seems like the pool has been acting kinda weird with the scoring.  I wonder what's up.
