Anyone else having trouble accessing the slush website in the US?

I am outside the US and getting Internal server error. Sometimes it works after a couple of refresh and then it freezes. Also we just reached 4hrs on the current round. I really hope this has nothing to do with the current performance of the website.

I cannot access the dashboard or app from US. I was literally just home for lunch to check on my rig and everything was fine...second I walk back into the office...internal server error came up.

Unfortunately, I don't have access to my miner remotely (just set it up over the weekend) so I won't know what my rig is doing as a result of this for another few hours here.

they activated Cloudflare so it must have been a DDOS attack on the site.  It's still up and running.

yea that was weird, I am back up and running!

has anyone else also been having issues with there hash rate just dropping out a few times during the day yesterday dec 7th?

I keep haveing issues yesterday when normally every thing has been running flawlessly. But then most of the day yesterday my has rate would drop down and unluckly always tend to drop just before a block came in. But I also noticed the Cloudflare pages more and Internal server error. windows when refreshing slushs page.     So I can't tell if the problem was on my end or if it was slush being so over loaded or possable DDos attack.

AFAIK they have been suffering from DDOS thats why they implemented cloudflare. But slush has some ramp-up and ramp-down so small outages shouldn't affect your earnings very much even if they just happen at the time a block is found.

Woah! 5 blocks in a row in less than 3mins! Slush is on a spree!

I had to look twice when I logged in, that was a solid 18 minute run there, been a good morning so far.

I'm definitely glad I switched over to slush a couple weeks ago.

a few of the times when my hash rate dropped out It dropped a few mins before hitting a block so it did ramp down some and caused me to get a smaller pay out from lower hash rate. but 2 of the times it worked out that my rate was back up to full rate when it crossed the block line.

Tho what ever it was. Everything seems to be working right again.

Also really glad I did not do a planned power shut down this morning to do some upgrades to my power system.  Or I would have missed out on the block-alanche we got this morning.

Each comes with it's pluses and minuses. Many people keep their hashrate split among two or more pools to minimize the effects of bad luck. A "not keeping all your eggs in one basket" approach.

now this is weird a few blocks we did hit today and have been removed from the hash graph as if they were confliced/orphan blocks..  But slush is still showing them in the rewards and in the block history page and nothing is mentioning that that they were invalid blocks.

all this are no longer showing in the graph with a red line and also no longer showing in my rewards page were they should of been while waiting for 100 confirmations.  and if they were conflicted or orphaned it would be nice if slush was transparent about them and just marked them as such. here are 4 of the 6 blocks we got that are now missing from the hash graph and yet still shown in there block history as if we got them with out being orphaned or conflicted with any other pool finding them blocks at the same time as us.

I have them on the rewards page. The graph sometimes bugs out for old blocks, I guess. https://blockchain.info/blocks does show we got these blocks.

I think Slush's dashboard do show invalid blocks in the reward page.

I guess that makes sense. I cant figure out the 5nd so I'm not sure how much per s9 the payout is. per block.

5nd isn't too hard, but it is better asked in the Kano pool thread. It has been explained several times in the last few pages there.

I'm pretty sure that the graph only shows the last 10 blocks. So when blocks are hit that quickly, they disappear from the left side.

Hello,

After a fair bit of dilberation I threw my chips in with Slushpool. Great interface, good for the network, most importantly its the oldest pool around. With nicehash ripping off $62m I am amazed that Slushpool, based on everything I have read, has a real soild rep. Hasn't seriously capitalised on this.

I hooked up my S9 to slushpool apporx 48hrs ago and compared to my L3+ on prohasing it's putting a major beat down on it!

The L3+ had around an 8hr avantage - so 56hr's it's done $40. It's doing a bit better with a 18% overclock (side question - is 1.76% HW errors acceptable?)

As you may guess I am a mining newbie (but learning fast) I have an S9 and an L3+ in had and a late Dec L3+ and Jan (wonder how Chinese New year will effect shipping  Huh) S9 both paid for.

Also those mining calculators are BS - they only count 12.5 blocks, I think the average past 2 days is 14 and change. Had to post that somewhere!

But despite the L3+'s 8hr head start it's pulled in $40

Going by xe.com the S9 has made $96

(not included pool fees in either)

I kind of regret going with the L3+ (esp as it cost 6.87 BCC at the time)

But should I regin in my expectations regarding the S9? I noticed today that a block earlier had 41418.43 % pool luck, that's lol.

I'm debating selling the L3+ and picking up 2 S7's (and pocketing $7/800) obv's nobody can tell anyone what to do with their money!

But what would you do in the situation? Also - and pretty much the main point of this post is should I regin in my expectations RE Slush, I mean it's 2hrs now without a block. Has the pool just been 'lucky' last 48hrs?

If so whats a rough average of variance per day +/- 10%/20% more?

Is this just the luck of the Irish joining the pool :p

Thank you if you take the time to answer, it's much appreciated.

* I've been following BTC since $8 or so but Mt Gox put me off, the I had about 12BTC around the $200 mark that I actually gambled up to 30+ on the NBA (rem one accumulator would of netted 40 odd BTC but the Sacramento Kangs somehow beat the Trailblazers by like 2 points - scary cash now lol)

But this June I threw pretty much all I had into it and to keep me in the game I've moved to mining rather than day trading. Although That was profitable.

*Irrelevant information lol -

Thanks again

does slushpool have any support on website?
My payout from 1.12.2017  is still pending. one after that went ok.
transaction id is https://blockchain.info/tx/ddf3d4f14958569215c8e87b675536ac684bedb20aac1f29f73d9af76bfbc6bb
thanks

You can always create support ticket here: https://slushpool.kayako.com/conversation/new

If you see them in the block history, we've got them (unles the block is marked invalid - oprhaned). Yep, this was really lucky period. Smiley

Yeah, we've been lucky this time. However if you are mining long-term and doesn't exchange the coins right away, luck is basically a non-factor (very close to 100 %). Furthermore we've grown over the last few months, meaning the variance has gotten smaller. So in the end it's about pool fees, which are one of the lowest on Slush Pool.

Also, thanks for the kind comments.  Smiley

ahhhhhhhh ok thanks.  Tho I did count 11 just before they went away.  But I also see we got paid for all of them so in the long run its all good and works out right.
Tho I never seen slush pull anything shady like antpool and its shady owners do all the time.

No reason to buy s7's IMO...save the money for an Avalon or an s9.

Hi,

Just connected my miners to Slushpool, approx 17 hours ago.

Quick question...

so, in 5 hours, it'll be 24 hours since i began mining.
I've received .1
Confirmed rewards says .09
Unconfirmed rewards says .16

So, if in 5 hours, it says
first paidout .1
second payout .1
Confirmed rewards .05
unconfirmed rewards .1

Would that mean my total for the 24 hours is .35 BTC?

I ask as the info displayed on the dashboard doesn't seem to reflect this at all.

My estimated daily payout is considerably lower than my payout, and both confirmed and unconfirmed rewards combined.
