I bought my first bitcoins for less than $0.5. Don't remember the exact amount and I only put in like 40-50 bucks at that time. Soon after the price went above one dollar.

$48 a week before it jumped to $100! Bought only a little at $48 though, unfortunately.

First heard about it, Penny First downloaded the client and looked into things, Dollars. First actually started mining and acquiring some, just under $100. You are not alone. I feel the same way...worse of all I had a chance to acquire 1000 BTC for $500 and I said "no thanks" at the time. [Kicks self again] Husband mentioned it to me when it was $1 but we felt it was pretty risky to invest much then. There was no regulation and it seemed it was being used mostly for nefarious purposes. We only became interested in putting money in when it seemed to be gaining some traction. Sure, we could have bought more back then too. There may be many people saying the same thing a year from now. "I wish I would have bought when it was $100!"

That's very unfortunate :-|. I've been following bitcoins since they were Sub 10, my first significant investment wasn't until they were $80 however.

Somewhere around $6. I was mining at home and at work and making about 12 coins a day. I was so happy when they went to $30 and so pissed that I didn't sell when the crash to $2 happened. Now I'm happy again that they are over $100. I'm still not selling though.

For me, it was about $1 when I initially bought in. Back then, I bought small amounts of Bitcoins with CoinPal at a 7% fee. Medium amounts were purchased by mailing cash to some guy in Canada...
Yeah, times have changed.

Started at $5 with 2 GPU (7970, 6990) and a FPGA , the best move was investing all mined coins into Asicminer at the time at $.01 BTC

OMG I remember that. When I told my wife I was mailing cash to a P.O. box in Canada, sent to a guy who's name I did not even know... She was like, goodbye money.
