The real key is all they do to build the user community. I think coingecko.com ranks artbyte number 8 or so out of coins in terms of community engagement. That is why the price keeps going up.

Today they announced a new program to feature a different artist each week on all their social media, and award the artist of the week 5,000 ABY (currently about $50)
The announcement is here: ArtByte Artist Showcase

ArtByte now has over 116,000 followers on Twitter, FB, ArtByte Forum, and Reddit.

So in addition to the award of ArtBytes, the artists will gain quite a bit of free exposure.

And remember, ArtByte is running a nice bounty for tipping artists on Twitter:

I saw these two coins suddenly blow up with BYTES in their name and while I really don't know I wondered if it was something to do with the current interest in Xtrabytes and some people simply got the name wrong? I think this might be possible as Xtrabytes is only traded on small exchanges so maybe people saw these coins on Bittrex and connected them. I have no evidence for this but it does make me wonder.

I also saw this one. I'm not attacking this coin but why the sudden rise now after 2 years of nothing?

ArtByte is 3 years old and has focused from the beginning on building a real user community of artists and fans. We believe that ArtByte has had a sudden rise in price because it has gained "critical mass". And is now accepted by both the art world and blockchain investors.

ArtByte is a niche coin, slow to gain acceptance of the members of this forum. There was another niche coin, Gulden that just gained acceptance last October. When it gained acceptance it also rose very rapidly in price, like ArtByte.

Gulden chart: The 1st rise was the October rise from a market cap of less than one million, up to $30mm

ArtByte chart: ArtByte is now having it's first rise

Cheers!

Taking part at the ArtByte Summer Festival, tipped 5 artists on saturday (June the 10th), but didn't got ABYs back so far. Do someone know, how long does it take?

Regards!

I think they pay it once a day and close their office Sunday. You can send an email to their support team.

Bittrex has the most volume. Probably depends on where you live. Bittrex is in the USA, LiteBit.eu in Europe, Yobit in Russia.

ArtByte tweeted this, showing the worldwide user community. Very impressive! This is one of the few coins building a real user community.
