Hey everyone, I'm the developer of an opensource expandable miner UI.  Currently the backends are xmr-stak and nheqminer, which provides a total of 8 minable coins: Aeon, Bytecoin, Bipcoin, Bitcoal, Monero, Sumokoin, Ultranote, and Zcash.

Check out the project page at github: https://github.com/jerrimus/xmrgui

It's under heavy development ( updates few times a week), and up to date info is posted on the subreddit: http://reddit.com/r/XMGUI

   Thanks for reading,

  Hope you enjoy my work.

Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

Yes, when you have started the miner there is nothing using cpu or ram on XMGUI until you push a button again.
