Individual coin price doesn't have any bearing on anything. You need to look at marketcap.
For example:
A) $1 coin with a supply of 1 billion coins... it takes $1 billion to double the coin price;
B) $1000 coin with a supply of 1000 coins... it takes $1 million to double the coin price.
So an injection of $1 billion into both markets would mean the $1000 coin is a hugely better investment.

But as coin price is the topic, I'll second AdEx, Status and Ark, and add Aragon and BitBay. And also XRP
Really though there are plenty under $10 individual coin price that are worth a look.

Unless you learn how to compare coins then you are going to waste your time, the price of the coins is not important, it is the market cap that matters, just look at the price difference between ETH and BTC it is huge, but when you look at the market cap the difference is not as big as the difference on price.
