URGENT: I HAVE ONLY 5 DAYS BEFORE THE HACKER TAKES EVERYTHING
At this very moment, a random 2 factor Authentication showed up when I tried to login to my Poloniex account. I saw the 2FA and I looked to my phone waited….and realized, wait shit! What is this! I thought I just have to type my password in as usual. That’s how its always been! A little digging, I found that polo had a 2 factor authentication system which I haven’t heard of (still quite a beginner at this). They made no emphasis on 2FA while I signed up so this was a complete shock to me … but now I have a random 2FA being put against me, the owner of my account! The very system meant to protect me IS KEEPING ME FROM TRANSFERRING OUT MY COINS TO SAFETY!
At that moment, I realized the only thing that could have happened! I am being hacked this very moment and someone locked me out of my own account so the criminal can steal my money quietly!
I submitted a ticket to poloniex immediately but I knew! When Poloniex still had the TrollBox, people CONSTANTLY complained about how they weren’t getting their tickets/problems resolved for WEEKS to MONTHS! I knew that the Hacker’s 2FA was only meant to buy some time because they knew Poloniex doesn’t care enough about their customers to provide immediate assistance. If this were a physical crime scenario, this is like if I am about to get robbed out of all my money at a 7–11, I call 911 and they come to check on my store 1 month later and conclude, “sry, we can’t help you because the good were stolen”. No shit!
And then I went to check my emails for the IP logins and I saw this!!

Sincerely,

That IP Traces to Moscow, RUSSIA! I’m being hacked at this very moment by the Russians!!!
But I realized something MY ONLY SAVING GRACE!,
I never upgraded my withdraw limit! My withdraw limit is still $2000/day. So they can only take pieces of it at a time which is why I assume they locked me out, so they can take it away day by day whilst Poloniex watches with ambivalence.
I offer this as a warning to everyone who is vulnerable to this attack and to expose the insane insecurity of Poloniex.
I also hope that this article can get enough attention so that Poloniex can see my urgency and take a minute to help and act before all my hard earned money is gone. More and more will disappear each day.
My clock is ticking.

According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

Gotta use 2 factor authentication right from the start. Hope you get your money back!  Track the hackers down and put a knife in their abdomen. Scammers who steal other's money should all be put down. The problem with society today is no real consequences for being a crook.. but I'll leave that discussion for another thread. Smiley

If you open the "new login" email in a way that shows not only text (I think that's in html view? I'm not really an expert on this), you will see that the "freeze account" part is actually a link you can click to immediately freeze your account, that should be step one now.
