it is not just privacy reasons, there are more to reusing the same bitcoin address more than once for receiving multiple deposits. for example the biggest problem most people will face these days is the higher fees.
read this: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Address_reuse

Hmm. This is the first time I've seen to reusing addresses referred to as fraud. Using one address to accumulate funds (for example, through escrow) or simply to track legitimate earnings are great reasons to want to use the same address. And yes, the privacy issue is there but having a known address signed by you is one way of verification.

I personally use multiple addresses. I have one for personal spending, one for savings, one for accepting donations. It's just alot more organized when using multiple addresses. Also, this is so people can't see how much all your bitcoins are, which is the case when using only a single address.

Using only one address is only beneficial in a way that you only have to only watch a single address.

If you receive many transactions to the same address, if you then send money from that one address you'll pay higher fees. better to use multiple addresses. Thus if you are a merchant or need to receive money always to the same address, you'll basically fucked up...

You only pay unnecessary high fees if your inputs are small/dust amounts because the amount will not be enough to cover the fee for additional bytes. Otherwise, it is cheaper than sending from multiple address.

Both of these are incorrect. It doesn't matter if you are sending from two outputs at the same address or from two outputs at different addresses. The size of the transaction will be the same.

Actually, I think using a single address or multiple addresses in various transactions are the same if done carefully. Someone uses multiple addresses in various transactions I think to secure or avoid losing all bitcoins, and maybe also to maintain privacy. So maybe many users use multiple addresses in various transactions this is for security and privacy. I personally use more than one address in each transaction.

Using multi address is safer and more privacy because the people cant track too much about your transaction with multiple address, but using multiple address can confuse other people and yourself because your address keep changing and you will have hard time to memorize it

I already once used the address of Coinnomi's purse, but really appreciate its cleaning capabilities I could not. I do not know why, but I'm very cautious about such things.

According to me, different address for same wallet is safer than using one single address for a given wallet. Blockchain also changes the recieving address after each successfull transaction. You can maintain your privacy and help others to keep out by using multiple address, but with bitcoin wallet address your money cant be withdrawen so its safe according to me. We can also get some really good alphabet address. You can also get the address with yiur name. then you cant change the address once you havr a permanent address.

I don't feel safe in one address because it is like not a safe wallet for me if they are using one address only because the people can track all your earnings and i think it is not anonymous anymore. Having multi addresses in one wallet is a good security also because you will remain anonymous in transactions because they will not be able to track all your transactions because you are using different kind of addresses.

What are the advantages or disadvantages of using one address for all your transactions versus using many addresses for various transactions?
Can using one address only can be beneficial somehow?

Some uses many addresses for the sake of management. If for example many people or entity pays you, it will be handy if you have a specific address that receives on a specific person. That way you can easily monitor who paid you or who did not. Others have many addresses for the sake of safekeeping and budgeting. Budgeting in a way that a person has a complete control over his funds. For example, address 1 is for electricity, address 2 is for foods, address 3 is for extras, etc. That way you cannot overspend on a specific want or need. Safekeeping so that if an address is hacked or broke (for whatever reason), you did not loss all of your assets, you have coins remaining on your other wallets.

Using a single address is beneficial for those who have a small number of coin and does not concerns about security, budgeting, or management.

Yep, having only one address is benificial because you can put all of your money in there and keep it in yourself and secure it since it's only one. But it also have a disadvantage, because if your addy hacked by hackers then maybe all of your bitcoin will stolen from you
Better to have several bitcoin wallet.

Higher fees and address reuse has nothing to do with any of it,the major concern about reusing the same address is the privacy thing and even if you use multi wallet, you could still link all the other addresses in the wallet without much hurdle,so it is a big hurdle,i would rather use a mixer and usually save my coins in my hardware wallet and that the only thing i can do to secure my privacy.

I've tried using both from two different bitcoin wallet and I can say that theres not much benefit in doing different addresses other than  to avoid linking addresses. I prefer using one address for now because I don't have a backup on my other wallet that has multiple addresses.

I think what people are talking about are HD wallets where you can have multiple addresses for one wallet... maybe so or maybe not; I still don't think this solves the inherent problem that Bitcoin faces with fungibility since Bitcoins can always have some level of taint.  Since you can always track Bitcoins from it's origin block, people can become victims of "justice" that was supposed to be served to another criminal that gave you those Bitcoins.

As for private store of wealth reasons, sure, you could send Bitcoins to "multiple addresses" that all go to one; but I just believe that puts a band-aid on a gaping wound.

If you are using electrum you can get 1 bitcoin address there just backup the one private key and install it as new and you can get your 1 bitcoin address the good thing of using 1 address to save bitcoin is not always safe i think the good benefits that we can get is security or become anonymous.
But i believe that there are still other benefits why other people are choosing one address instead of using multiple addresses.

Multiple addresses of course adds a layer of privacy to your life but there's a huge disadvantage at the moment.

FEES !!
What about the fees ? If you're going to move coins from so many inputs (different addresses that you received money to) this means higher fees.

This isn't applied when it's just a single or two addresses but you're kinda tracked at that time.

Usually sellers use multiple addresses as well for each single sale to make it easier to confirm which invoices have been paid.
So it's a matter of self preference.

What are the advantages or disadvantages of using one address for all your transactions versus using many addresses for various transactions?
Can using one address only can be beneficial somehow?

One address is easier to transact and keep a record of.
Multi Address keeps funds separate and helps if you lose the private key for any reason/stolen and prevents a Total Loss of all your assets.
Multi-Sig single address makes it so if it is 2/3 private control that issue of stealing is lowered due to difficulty of compromising more than one but does not solve the former issue of losing one or more private keys.
Multi-Sig multiple addresses (Harder to keep track of all the private keys lol)
So in some cases one multi sig might be beneficial and of greater value than a single sig address.

Using only one address make you feel more comfortable when you need your address because you use only 1 address so that you can know if you patse your address right or wrong and you can write down your only adress anywhere you want so that you can type your address anytime you want.

using new address is stupid on the same wallet, there is no advantage for your privacy, because when you send or receive, they are all connected, and you can see the imput and output on blockchaininfo easily

instead using a different wallet grant you a truly anonymity, because account are not automatically linked to each other unless you don't send to yourself

By using multiple addresses you are making your coins more private, and essentially making it hard for anyone to trace down the exact amounts you have transacted, how much bitcoin you actually hold beacues it's all spread out in different addresses, as well as what you used the bitcoins on.

Though with the introduction of tracing services such as walletexplorer, if you use say a blockchain.info wallet and all addresses have been used as input together, then you're still going to be able to be tracked.

Using one address has its benefits as well, for example, it is auditable. If you need to sign a message to prove ownership of x amount of coins, you probably want to sign only one address instead of hundreds potentially. Altcoin airdrops also need signed messages, so if you have a lot of change addresses it's a tedious task.
