On whattomine.com it says that one 280x gets around 290 Sol/s. Can I assume that a 7970 with the same Vram clock and tweaked timings would get the same?
And if so - what is with a 7950 would it get nearly the same as thouse two with the same modifications? I would mine hush or zcash with it - is there a difference between them in hashrate per card or can i assume that any currency based on equihash will be the same?

I find it hard to find uptodate information about the different hashrates of older cards for ethhash and equihash. Does anybody know a good source for that?

Thank you in Advance and sorry for bad english Cheesy

To answer my question by myself: Got one Asus 7970 runs at 1000mhz/1850mhz @1.1v with 305 sol/s

Last question is what a 7950 with same clocks would achieve. I`ll know next week when mine arrives..

Whaaaat ! 1850 for the mem ?
For me 1050/1500 is the max without failure.

My 7950 at 925/1375 undervolted at 0.9v is hashing at 250 H/s ZEC.
While my 7970 with the same setting get 275 H/s

Not bad for some 2012/2013 cards

I got a bunch of these.

Run them at 1100/1575 with a modded bios (search for my hacked bios straps thread) and you will get 330H/s.

You can undervolt a little but they will use ~200 Watts.

Yep I think I was lucky this time. Though, both of my 290s are only getting 1350/1425 mem Clock (Which is 335sol - 30mh/s ethhash though Cheesy)
I'll get four more 7970s and one 7950 this week.. will post their max stats here.

From my experience +50mhz of mem clock ads around 5 sol at least with a 7970.

you mean this one? https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1676474.0

Isn`t it basically about modified vram timings? Or are there more advantages?

79xx series are really good cards. Cost less but do same hash as many new ones, the only drawback is power consumption.

Got a single 7950, its doing 290sol's @1100/1500, not modded in any way.
The problem is the consumption, which is way beyond 200w@the wall and the fact the card is running at 82C
Its been running for a long time like this, the durability of these cards really is excelent.

Newer nvidia cards are great with power consumption. In one of my rigs 3x gtx 1060 draws only 75W each and do not get hotter than 58 degrees.
May consider to sell that mining rig  (PM if interested) to get 1080Ti or few.
