People give gift caeds as wedding gift. I don't know if there is anything like bitcoin giftcards.
The block chain is the main innovation of Bitcoin. It is the first distributed timestamping system.

Now this looks little weird, but when days pass people starts gifting bitcoin when the popularity increases, one of my friend already has got bitcoin as a gift during the days of Christmas. But with that both were aware of the digital currency and it's value, but the same makes people think what's this gift with the unknown person. So same as we providing giftcard in future people use bitcoin for gifting purpose.

The idea is also good if you want hassle free gift to a dear one getting married instead of spending a day finding a more appropriate gift for the couple. When we give gifts we make sure the gift we are giving will be used or liked/loved by the person we are  giving to. We don't just give something we know will not be of any benefit  to them, so i think if the person getting married is known to us to be someone who is fond of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies or in short into the business of crypto, we can give them bitcoin and it would be something he may love.

Quote
Some tech-savvy wedding-goers are gifting the digital currency to new couples. Honeyfund, a honeymoon registry that allows guests to give cash rather than gifts, has seen more than a dozen customers donate in bitcoin, said chief executive officer and co-founder Sara Margulis. In recent years, more than a dozen customers have chosen to route donations to the site from bitcoin wallets. Zola, a wedding registry website, has had just two cash funds created for bitcoins since 2013, a spokeswoman said. "I would expect it to pop more as millennials come into the wedding age,” Honeyfund’s Margulis said. “It’s something you will do if your friends and family are already into bitcoin.

Bitcoin as an retirement plan, bitcoin to secure the future of your kids, and now bitcoin as a wedding gift. Whether or not bitcoin replaces cash in future, it looks like the trend of gifting bitcoin instead of cash at weddings is definitely going to catch up and more wedding registeries would be adding bitcoin as a gifting option.

Quote
Avoid using a wedding gift "as an opportunity to proselytize a technology you personally believe in, but the recipient could not care less about."

People who are not into bitcoin might not appreciate getting a volatile currency as a gift, and might never use it, thus adding it to the list of lost coins, but I think people who are already using bitcoin or would most probably use it in future then bitcoin instead of cash is the apt wedding gift for them.

I think it would still need a few more years to be able to do just that. I sincerely think yhat there can be an openig or a possibility for bitcoins to be accepted as a wedding gift but I also think that it needs to earn more or to be priced higher to be recognized.

when the value of each bitcoin is already at least $10,000, then that is the time that there will be a lot of people that will go in and dive to the bitcoin party. Some are still hesitant now because of  some news about China and all that but when they realized that the price is going stable and will go up and up, they will sure join in.

Not that I know of but Bitcoin in itself is somewhat a gift card because it carries a variable fiat equivalent of its value and can be redeemed into cash anytime you want. I will not give it as a wedding gift yet because a lot of the people in my sphere of contact don't know what it is yet but I will lady accept it as a gift for my wedding.

of course not, I never give such a valuable thing as a gift to any wedding ceremony. today a bitcoin price is almost above $3700, so this is huge for me, I would like to invest my whole Bitcoin rather than presenting as a gift. but if any of my first blood demands for this type of gift from me at their wedding then I would change my decision.

bitcoin as wedding gift is ridiculous but creative. It is quite funny to give bitcoin as wedding gift. But I am sure your gift will be exceptional and awesome if the bridegroom and  knows the value of bitcoin.I will try to use this idea on my friends' wedding.

If the wedding couple accepts Bitcoin as a payment method for gifts then people will start donating Bitcoins. I think still, many people don't have awareness about the Bitcoin and many people afraid accepting those.

Why not , I will willingly give out bitcoin as a wedding gift if conditions that can make the couples exchange it to fiat is achievable I will do so, after all bitcoin has become a globally acceptable virtual currency and if a reasonable amount is gifted to the couple that will go a long way in solving their financial inadequacy.

Giving bitcoin as a wedding gift, why not! I would willingly give it as a gift because I know it can help them to their starting up as a couple. It can be make as an investment to them, maybe it can be their start in business.

Why not? I mean, if you can give to the newly wed then why not? As long as they can have a bitcoin wallet, maybe this will be the best gift. But if I will give bitcoin as a wedding gift, I will not give 1btc, I will just give around .02 btc. lol. That is enough to give. That is also a good amount when converted in fiat.  Grin

.02 is kind of small as a wedding gigt..lol however, you can buy any physical gift out of .02btc that can be a very nice wedding present for your friends that are having a wedding. but if you really decide to give a bitcoin, .2 - 1 btc is fair enough.

Yes, I can give Bitcoin as a wedding gift and others can also give it because they think of me as a great gift because they can have a wealth for long-term and can pay their money as an emergency and Bitcoin is a better currency so it seems very acceptable. Do I think Bitcoin is less like a gold, diamond and pearl. So I can say in frankly I will give Bitcoin as a wedding gift.

If he or she is my close friend i will definitely give them but not those who is just a friend. But if he or she is not aware of bitcoin, it might be a waste for them as well haha. He or she might ended up realizing his or her friend just gave them bitcoin in the wedding after 5-10 years maybe?

Not yet, because my friends has more bitcoin than me. As well as most of them are married, it's more likely that i will receive bitcoin as a wedding gift.

This has happened in Turkey recently. But I wouldn't do this to a friend yet. I don't think other people will understand what  has just happened at that time. But transaction would be funny to talk between friends Cheesy

I need to think twice, if i will make bitcoin as a wedding gift even for friends, Except in small amount. Because, i still need bitcoin. For provision later.
Bitcoins value keeps on rising with time but still if the couple getting married is close to you, it will be really generous and an act of love to give them something precious in gift. This will show how much they are important to you. Also, they will be giving a good gift at your wedding or birthday. Exchanging of such precious asset will increase the sweetness in relation.

No matter in which currency are expressed gift if there is love, peace and warm attitude each to other. Why not? It's normal gift with normal price/ value but if you know that person cannot accept it because he never use it before or based on other reason reason then exchange this BTC/USD and it will be more acceptabil for some people.
