Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

Have you checked the power delivery? does it work well with other coins, for example, zcash? what's the PSU?

I don't remember where I read it but you have to make some changes in Nvidia Geforce Experience, There is an option to optimise GPU Performance or something when you tick it and do a restart, it should give you proper hash rate performance.

EDIT: Found the link for it, try this https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1433925.msg19610731#msg19610731

Watch this : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MA_sH4q2toU&t=2962s. At the end of it, they are tweaking the settings, I hope you can fix your issue with that.

On the Nvidia Control Panel, activate a per-program option that says something like "optimize for calculations". Gonna find a video about it. It is in Spanish, but I think you can figure it out by the position. If you can't, by all means ask

Here, video.

Ouch, no, sorry. That option is indeed specific for the 900 series (Maxwell). I do not think it even appears for 10 series (Pascal).

I do not really know how you can solve the issue, sorry.
