People still say "Bitcoin is caput" while we're in triple digit prices?
It's so ludicrous I don't even know how to react anymore.

People dont understand bitcoins, I have had the most wierd reactions from people, while talking about bitcoin. This is good news for us WHO DO UNDERSTAND BITCOIN, gives us more time to buy and build business. I just think that a lot of people will be left out in the Cold, when the "revolution of Money" really hits the World. Some first movers will be rich, and the masses will just look at each other, poor and say "what happened, the neirds have all the wealth???"

That is why I am glad I am married to one. Everybody should be glad the nerds will be the new elite. - We are smart. - We don't care as much for money as most other people (we care about gadgets and IT stuff instead). - We don't care as much for power as most other people (we care about doing cool things with IT stuff instead). - We actually know how to build complex systems, so if we were to rule, that would improve the world a lot (just look what the Internet has done already) NERDZ RLZ.

Unfortunately not all people buying BTC are nerds though. Otherwise we would be looking at a new Utopia.

And many early adopters were nerds. And they will be almost unimaginably wealthy (think WHOLE-COUNTRY-BUYING-WEALTHY) once Bitcoin is globally used to buy groceries.

LOL, looks like they realized the error and did a straight find/replace "eric --> Erik". So that "American" has become "AmErikan" and so on. I'm proud to be an AmErikan

Erik is a great guy who knows a lot about bitcoins, however I don't think that they daily dot conducted the interview well and as a result they have made it so the bitcoin community doesn't look too good.

Erik is a profiteering douchebag that uses the "Stress Testing" mantra just like his contemporaries - DDoS providers. Krebs has the write-up here: https://krebsonsecurity.com/2013/05/ddos-services-advertise-openly-take-paypal/"I was only stress-testing websites!" - DDoS Douchebag "I was only stress-testing the blockchain!" - Satoshi Dice Douchebag Seems he isn't the first scumbag to use that line - hilarious.

Better to have a friend do it than an enemy... Either way, I've said this before. If bitcoin isn't ready for tons of microtransactions, then wtf? We can parse transactions (in theory) and if we want this to take off we need to force those solutions.

If your website isn't ready for tons of connections, then wtf? We can parse connections (in theory) and if we want your website to take off we need to DDoS them. Yeah, sure...
