Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

This is weird. Is that an old wallet/address? Have you tried to contact their support team? 10.8BTC is not something to pass on – it's about USD$27,000! Are the coins coming in batches or as a one transaction only?

I sent 10.8+ bitcoin to my ethereum wallet from bitfinex.. as soon as it hit my electrum wallet it sent automatically to another address that I don't own. The time stamps were identical times.. wtf is going on?

Plus now my password doesn't work to unencrypt the wallet.. wtf?

https://blockchain.info/address/17MxKujaf2sFtGzX36tSkVFXwkJCDsSS8J

This is true? can you provide the electrum wallet log or the transaction id where it send the wrong address you don't own..
So that we can know the transaction is made from your address because the link you give above and check one of the last transaction here
https://blockchain.info/tx/c722345d2d63738c585598e305cadb815b1475172a0333c2d22cbb2cf28ced4f
He got confirmed now you must double check the address first if you send it in the wrong address..

Doublecheck your system for malware to rule that out as a possibly. I'd recommend looking into a hardware wallet device for use with Electrum which adds extra security especially if you are dealing with that many coins.

+1

When I started dealing in multiple whole coins I switched to hardware wallets too.

I would be inclined to believe that the OP has been infected with Malware or their system has been compromised in some way... someone has access to the private key(s) for that address and were obviously monitoring the address for activity.

Upon seeing the large deposit to that address, they've then broadcast a transaction sending it own to their own address using a 7000+ sat/byte fee to guarantee it got mined in the next block.

Blockchain.info is showing that there was an attempted double spend, so I'm not sure if the OP had tried to rescue the coins, or there were multiple hackers trying to steal it... it's impossible to see as one of the transactions is no longer visible after the 7000 sat/byte fee got confirmed.

And it looks like it is also indexed by Google on a similar site. I wonder how this address was generated.

Looks like you swept 0.005 BTC from 1LKrhFV52VMA9KKMv6pwM5k2Gp1PFnj6MA to 1AWaiNCbZBieWgfjM4uZJ779whHPBUqpn

1 second (!!?! Shocked) later... someone broadcast a transaction sending the 0.005 from 1AWaiNCbZBieWgfjM4uZJ779whHPBUqpn to 19BTFJ9H9QKfsj32zyPBs6kQ9cAxbH8TDM using a 448 sat/byte fee (most likely to ensure next block confirmation).

As far as I can tell... the private key for 1AWaiNCbZBieWgfjM4uZJ779whHPBUqpn has been compromised... and someone is monitoring it for deposits with an automated script and then sending the coins on. It is possible that the entire wallet with the 1AWaiNCbZBieWgfjM4uZJ779whHPBUqpn address in it has been compromised. Undecided

You should probably consider the entire system compromised. Scan for malware/viruses at a minimum... but I'd seriously consider backing up important data... wiping your harddrive and reinstalling the OS from scratch.

as others said it is most possible that you have some kind of malware on your computer that compromised your private key/seed or generated a wallet file as you installed Electrum to force you to think that is the wallet you created!

but there is a possibility that you downloaded a malicious file too
did you verify the signature of the file that you downloaded? maybe you have downloaded a file which was created by an attacker and placed for download.

He is not his mistake according to his post and i think there is something a virus in his computer that if he copy paste the bitcoin address where should be send bitcoin the pasted address is different this is always happening and already experience by other bitcoin user that i think its a kind of virus. if its already been sent well i think there is no way to recover it unless if he can contact the owner where he sent the bitcoin and begging to give back his bitcoin to his bitcoin address..

I think what happened was these people probably downloaded some altcoin wallet and it put compromised wallets into their %APPDATA% folder for various Bitcoin core wallets, Electrum, Mycelium, etc.

When they opened the program, the wallet was already created and they just sent the funds to those wallets which had the private key comprised by the one who put the virus in the altcoin wallet or other malware.

Only explanation for this...
