According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

I would like to suggest the addition of "Credits" CRD. This is the only "Credits" coin actively being developed, new Dev team, moving forward. The other coins with the credits name are dead or dying. CR no longer has a web site, forums abandoned etc. CRD has been taken over and is in active development at this time.

Hi CoinmarketCap Support.

EFL - Electronic Gulden is including premine in marketcap value. It should be like AUR which only has mined coins included. The premine for EFL is 10 500 000 (50% of total coins) or have the rules changed and coins can say if they have spent Premine?

This would be bad as devs could dump out to themselves and claim premine is on the market.

EFL is a scam coin, so this isn't surprising they gave coinmarketcap false info.

You are telling something what is not true.

Only the EFL premine coins which are in circulation are added up to the total marketcap.

They have an influence on the current price per coin. Everyone can buy and sell them now because they are in circulation.

So it's more than logical that they are added up to the current marketcap.

Have you been lying under a rock?

The original devs of EFL tried to scam everybody. But they were caught.

From that moment some guys from the EFL community took over.

They have started the Electronic Gulden Foundation. The efl foundation holds 5 million premine coins.

So EFL has made a fresh start. Have a look a the new website >> http://www.e-gulden.org

This will open a can of worms for other premine coins to abuse... the whole reason coinmarketcap changed the system was because it was unfair to coins that didn't use a premine at all.

Tomorrow I can create a coin with 90% premine, find a quick and seemingly plausible way to dump them onto the market and boost the marketcap way above how it was entered into the market via decentralized methods.

I think coinmarketcap will need to explain the situation going forward so all coins can be on a level playing field otherwise just add the premine like it was before and let people decide what coins they want to back.

This doesn't mean your premine drops by 5 million because the devs stole it and dumped them onto the market. We can't trust coinmarketcaps figures if they allow this and same goes for any other coin that have tried to falsify the premine amount. Also this will create a administrative nightmare for coinmarketcap to update every coins premine amount every time it gets used.

Is the site down? I can't seem to connect for some reason getting a 404 error but other sites are saying it's up.

The site was briefly offline for me a few times last week. Is it due to upgrades?

Thank you bluestreet for bringing this up, I also thought all coins with * next to them as premine excluded. Not that it matters everyone must just do proper research before putting money towards any coin. My husband and I got burnt on one premine coin already and as a rule of thumb we just don't invest in them. Blackcoin is a very good coin that is fair.

I have already PM'd Gliss about this and it will be corrected soon. So don't panic, all the other coins values are fine from what I can tell. Israel coin has 90% premine and would be a top 20 coin if the premine was included. It looks to be a mistake that was made for this one.

It looks like if you have premine coin you can tell Gliss that premine has been used. So if you have any coins that have premine and want to raise the market cap get the devs to PM Gliss to say if premine has been given for bounty/bonus/dev work etc.Even if dev gave premine for themself or say were hacked and dump on market it is good impression if your coin get boosted up the ranks.
So don't hate the player hate the game.

It is good if you want to create your own coin and boost marketcap.

1. Create coin with 50% premine.
2. Then pretend dev ran away and dumped coins onto market place after you do community takeover.
3. Recover the other 50% premine from the scammy devs, cause you caught them out as they were anonymous.

It all will make sense.

EFL is now corrected.  If someone wants the premine adjusted, the burden will be on them to provide the proper proof and a separate data feed showing the amount released to the public.  For example, Ripple provides a feed for amount distributed: https://www.ripplelabs.com/xrp-distribution/
