What will happen?
And will everything be the same as in the movies about monsters? 

talking about the future is one of my favourite topic,we dont know what will the world be like in future,in many years later,but we can predict some,i think in next 100 years,world will become ruled by technology,people more greedy and lost their faith,people compete for their wealthy,earth will be at wort condition,because human exploite all nature resource,and i think in next 100 years,the world near to the end.

No one knows how the world will b after 100 more years. With the world already over populated after 100 years there will not be place for people to live and lands which we cultivate rice will become into flats. Then we will have only plastic rice, egg and more pizzas, burger as our food.  I think that our world will be like the movie men in black. If its like that then i think people will drive their own drone.

In 10 years the world will be the same as now. If you are interested in technology then they do not appear out of the blue. They develop over the years. In addition to bitcoin I don't know of promising technologies which in 10 years can have a global impact on the world.

I would not want to be here in 100 years. I see a lot of "dumbing down" of people via social norms. People just seem to be getting more uneducated, petty and childish.

We will be stuck in another reality. Virtual Reality will feel and become so real that we will not even be able to tell the difference between reality and the virtual world. What will the world be like in 100 years. I am an optimist and I see humans overcoming the many challenges we face today: Famine, climate change, terrorism, etc. Technology will advance to the point where we can eliminate most of our problems by then. Let us hope that I am right .

Which movies are on your mind exactly? Do you wish for a future like in Blade Runner where we face grim cyberpunk future or maybe you wish for emotionless future like in THX 1138, Equilibrium or Equals?
Personally, I will bet that we will see the future from Elysium - this film portrays wealth inequality in a very realistic way, as something I can imagine would happen in the future, super-rich versus rest of the world class conflict is inevitable at this point. This will be our future, given that we won't see any war or global economic, a natural disaster happening first.

In 100 years, we will be incomprehensibly more advanced than we are today. Just picture the last 20 years. Twenty years ago, we were in 1997 and most people did not even own a personal computer, let alone laptops, smartphones, etc. In fact, most people had never used the internet and those who did had to use "Dial-up". There was no WiFi, hi-speed... no one had that.

Now that was only 20 years ago... imagine in 100 years. It is impossible to even comprehend where we will be at that time. Well, most of us will be dead, but you know what I mean.

Interesting question. It is very hard to imagine what it will be like in the next 100 years. Especially with the pace of our technology.

I think we'll have started to try and colonise other planets. Maybe we'll finally have a real hoverboard.

And I would like to be there, just to see for myself and be able to compare it. Our lives are so short, it's scary.

IMO in 100 years we'll be living on welfare and machines will be doing all our jobs. People will be only sitting and drawing stuff in air or thinking about it and printers will be making it all in minutes. You want a car? Make your own in a day! You want a glider? All done! Want some tea? Your personal robomaid will make it.

How the planet is going to sustain a human population of 15 billion? And more worryingly, 50% of this population will be in the continent of Africa. The African population is going to rise by 7X during the next 100 years. There is not enough land available there for all these people.

I think in 100 years people will be paying huge money to buy land and live off grid. This process is already starting, but the more problems with muslim migrants we'll have the more people will want to leave big cities and live far from this plague. Cities will become overcrowded and dirty and we'll be spending most of our time staring at our computer screens, working from home and eating canned food.
