Did anyone already got their manual claim now? Would calm everyone down if the IOTA drop was related to it (other then happening on top of it the next weeks).

No one I heard of. The drop isn't related.

Videocalls are delayed, I'm busy with a fix deployment.
ok. I hope it will be easy to fix. Smiley

Probably a dumb question, I bought iota from bitfinex on july 8th and 18th and I came back last week to check my wallet n shows zero. Should I just wait for the recovery tool?

If you sent the iotas from Bitfinex to your wallet - yes.

Could you confirm that Round#2 claimants should use this tool CfB?

Just tried this on Windows10 device, get a javascript exception in main.js line 584.

"template[1].submenu.splce is not a function"

Guessing this should be 'splice'?

(Could still open the wallet after this error however)

Thanks for the info s2. Can you see your iota balance? ('suppose this has to wait for stage 2 with the new wallet next week though)

My machines run Linux, trying to build a .deb package but not so easy, hopefully a .deb version of wallet v2.5.2 will be released today (?)
Hesitating to borrow a Win machine to do the reclaiming...

Just an update, apparently my proof transaction was published successfully whatever that means.
Is there any way to use the old seed on an old wallet to verify the old balance is what is expected?

Hi CfB, I installed the new v2.5.2 wallet on a windows machine and attempted to claim my old seed (a short seed I created to do the first claim last year), but I get the following message:
Code:
Invalid Old Seed
Is this to be expected? I activated the short seed option, but that changed nothing.

Update: letters in my old seed were in lower case, I switched them to UPPER CASE and the seed was accepted. 'Hope this will work out...

I've been running the reclaim tool for a couple of hours now, it's still in the process of sending. Is this to be expected?

ok.
I have run the "Reclaim tool" and, as ozboom (see post 330), my old seed has been accepted only after having switched its lower case letters to upper case.
My proof transaction has been quickly confirmed.
(I am in round 1 list)

First, logged into the client with new seed and tried the reclaim tool. After 6 hours I decided to try the process without logging in.

It's been sending all night, likely 12 hours. I don't think it's working.

Any other approaches to try?

This is a David Manual Claim, perhaps it doesn't apply?

I would try with a different host node (supposing you are in light mode).
