I will contact NOVAexchange to see if there is further issues regarding staying in the maintenance mode. I am waiting for the mining pools to come and the Coino network to stabilize. Now it is about the time.

For Cryptopia, I still need to fine the way ( and the right time) to get it relisted "cost"-wise.

Those were just for reserved front spaces (without interruption) which I can use to Put in secondary information or details.
I should have typed " reserved" and I am going to change them now. During the time when I was saving the OP page, the Bitcointalk took minutes to refresh/load it, enough for 2 responses and 1 PM to get get to me before I hastened to reserve those spaces. That's why.

Due to Its policy that the coin becomes a new coin, needing to be relisted.
As you can see, doing something new is all that you need to make a coin a new coin.

To me, New Hybrid mining algo is pretty new but this is not the reason of being called a new coin.

The old Coino bloated blockchain files were rebuilt with the balance of old wallet ported, redistributed,( scrapping the details that amount to the balances) in order to reduce the files size, so that the network/blockchain will run appropriately.

It is a new coin according to Cryptopia. Listing a new Coin requires paying 2,000,000 DOT. Do you know how much it is?
More than 6 BTC at the present DOT lowest ask price.

I would do whatever I can to keep Coino there. If I can afford and find the solution, I would certainly make it happen in time but I may not be able to do that and we were told to withdraw Coino by July 16, 2017.

In 5 more days, I can probably figure out whether I can do it at all. If not, there are going to be the issues of getting those old coin balances withdrawn from the account while those balances has been redistributed to the new wallet file. (Before the deadline in 10 days, the Cryptopia exchange should activate a new wallet for withdrawal- and there is no reason they would not or should not need to do in this way even if there is no New Coino coin listed in the exchange.)

Only after Filling in the deficit of the old wallet balances at the exchange, Cryptopia will likely reopen trading for the new coino coin. I have yet to wait for the exact amount of shortfall to be estimated and shown before I can do anything.

Cryptopia said that it was a "51% attack."

I suspect that could be due to inappropriately shutting down the old wallet before the Snapshot and deposits still poured in till the last second.

Because the Coino is mostly Solo-mined without a pool, mining block rewards would be initially sent directly to the miners' old wallet clients as "unspent without an address" The "redemption" probably won't occur till when the miners (such as) sent those balances to the exchange but the "redemption" might not be synced into the exchange's wallet balance if they stopped it before the snapshot (or it needed more time/blocks for confirmations by the network) for those balances to be ported over to the new Coino wallet files.

If this is not the case and it is a real "51% attack", the whole thing would be more serious.

It does not matter any more if we need to wait a few days more as long as a solution can be found.

    I never got back the (account) address balance (of 517544 Coino) I kept there at that time.

The CNO jswallet works now. still not fully working for withdrawal.
Mobile use of Coin(o) formally begins today.  

I can confirm the official web wallet is broken.  I last checked in on it a few months ago - at that time the Coinod running on it had a balance of several million and all was well.  When I checked it today it has a balance of about 4,000 left.  It shows three accounts that have a negative balance.  I assume someone found an exploit in the code and used it to take the Coino.  I'm not sure the value of Coino really makes such an attack worthwhile... but maybe someone had a lot of time on their hands.

SMCardle wrote the wallet some time ago, before he disappeared.  I don't have any intention of looking for the bug or fixing it given that the other wallet is running now.

Is anyone going to be upset if I just pull the plug on that server and let the old wallet go away?

I might be one of those few using the original Web wallet, deposited a sizable amount, played slot game a few times and forgot about it.
The posted balance for my web wallet is 517544 CNO.

If nothing else we can do, I have no objection to discontinue the old web wallet and to move on to do what are more important. It is costly to maintain a web wallet, even worse if it is not working right and hard to fix.

It's a shame that I can not use them for my up-coming mibile-CNO campaign.

It is my belief that it is the user base not the coin feature itself without everyday-users/adopters of the coin that ultimately determine the cryptocoin value

It is because the community is relatively quiet, with plenty of individuals holding Millions of Coino with confidence, considering that it has been 3 years.

Do you know that Coino was one of the few pioneers planning to launch coin linking to issuance of credit cards, unsuccessfully due to obstacles 3 years ago.

Coino needs to find support levels in the short-term.

There is no question about long-term Activities once the campaigns heat up. We are still building the roads for us to pass through.

Once the campaigns starts, any improvement of transactions should be considered.

But I would promote Coino CNO more  for ownership, saving and for large and infrequent transactions, to lessen the need to rely on the speed of CNO transactions. The block time of 365 seconds is set to lessen the need for a new costly coin swap and associated glitches, at least not in 20-30 years.

If Cryptopia is not too busy with anything else, its tech staffs should be setting everything up very soon, despite the fact that all that they need to do is to sync old wallet file into the exchange's new wallet client, making sure all the old wallet balance are all counted in the new wallet client, just like what we do with our own wallet.dat file. Every user has exactly the same balance as before in the exchange. The only thing we lost in the new blockchain is the details of transactions history leading to the balance of each address ( which has a transaction history) at the time of the snapshot on June 20, 2017. Any one can still find the scrapped transaction information at the old blockchain  https://chainz.cryptoid.info/cno-old/.

NOVAexchange relisted Coino CNO in one week.

Old network is not working any more.

Without syncing,
You can still get your wallet address, go to console and dumpprivkey to get privet key of the wallet address; then importprivkey to the new CNO wallet client.

You can still get your wallet address, go to console and dumpprivkey to get privet key of the wallet address; then importprivkey to the new CNO wallet client.

Other than the Cryptopia is probably always busy but probably focusing on other jobs, I am not aware of any problem. However, I have not got a further answer from my open support ticket there since around 9/16/2017 after I was told that the admin would check with their wallet team re:CNO.

I pointed more than 400 MH/s to you pool for more than 4 hours.
I am not seeing any CNO mining activity @ the site.

Edit: I got about 0.34 CNO over about 8 hours ( thru algo-switching?)
This other rig at other pool with only 1/3 of the hashing power got balance of more then 2 CNO for the same period.

Wouldn't it be more profitable to mine Coino directly rather than "algo-switching"?

You are right that this is not an ICO.

It has been exactly the same old coin and there was no name change. The "coin swap" being directly through the blockchain level, i.e. every every old address with a balance was ported to the new blockchain with the exactly the same total balance but omitting the details that contributed to the final total balance, thereby, markedly reducing the size of the blockchain files so that the wallet client can run appropriately and get a new life. This is the reason that we have to give up the short block time to avoid the need to do it again within 3 years; it has been quite costly probably will cost more than $100,000 to be "re-listed as a new coin" by the time.

It was considered a "new coin" by Cryptopia and the actually work required corresponding swap of all accounts in the exchange manually- I was told; therefore, it took close to 5 months for the exchange to re-list this coin for trading. At the same time, the amount of new coins mined are drastically reduced. The Pow x11 went into the 4th halving of mining block reward sizes to 0.5 CNO from 8 CNO per block. The POS interest is fixed only 0.5%.

Considering the above factors and the sudden increase of liquidity (thus the value) of this coin, no one can stop the rise of the price.

It won't be easy to get a lot of Coino coins. Even during the old-days (2-3 years ago) of Scrypt-mining with fixed rewards size of 35 CNO per block and 25-second block time, it took me several months for me get the first 1 million CNO. (At that time the swisscex exchange was closed and the trading was moved to Cryptopia (as well as Novaexchange.)  The price at that time was more than 100 sat for quite a while.

The immediate road map is to have an unprecedented built-in Affiliate mobile app (for two -not just one- coins to complement each other). The exact details won'be finalized and ready to be revealed in about one month but you can find the promotional thread (still under construction) here.

I tried mining here but did not connection.

Coino has been marching toward the last halving of x11 mining (to the final block reward of 0.125 CNO from 0.25 CNO) in 9231 blocks, not taking more than one month (probably in 2-3 weeks).

Presently there are only two dedicated mining pool. (see Op page.)

There are x11switch-mining pools which mine CNO at times. Among them zpool never paid out the 764 CNO to me and has deleted CNO mining there. (updating the post #2 soon.)

(I will post the screen capture about this and at the Op page when I can do it.)



To me, it does not make sense at all.

When a x11switch-mining pools (designated for payout in Coino coins) was pointed to "more profitable" other Cryptocoins, there should be plenty of profits to be used to buy Coino coins. The pool did not do it, claiming that it has been short of CNO and simply de-listed Coino coin from its mining pool.

Nevermind... I read back far enough to find out that Cryptopia is current listing CNO.

The ReflexTrader (@Cointopay) presently only shows The pairs of Altcoin-BTC for the the Altcoin which you have a positive balance. Basically, it is a merchant account where you have to set a coin of preference one at a time. It is still possible you can have such a different preference set at a different time, making a deposit of that particular coin. Having different coins with positive balances probably allows you to open a trading pair to trade for each coin. So far altcoin1-altcon2 pair can not be created. If my memory is right, you will need to pay a small fee to maintain an account (and probably a permanent account.)

From those functionalities, any body can operate the autonomy mode for sell/payment or a trading pair at own website/server (not just the market place in places such as certain crypto exchanges.)

I have yet to test the system more fully and may try to convince them to open a class of (non-merchant) users to trade through the systems.

Do not be fooled by the lower price of CoinoCoin due to my having to spend my resources in finalizing the coming app.

it's like the pool disconnects me. My D3 shows that the pool is dead, and I failover to my backup pool.
After about 20 or 30 seconds, then lpool.name's CNO pool shows alive. It's like they're changing the status of
their pool to dead to cause me to failover and stop mining at their site.
I raised my difficulty setting to d=3, and it lasted a little longer than 10 minutes, but not much. Same thing: kicked and had to
manually failover my D3 to go back there.

I tried changing my password setting from d=3 to just an x, where I don't set any difficulty.
lpool.name started me off at a 0.01 difficulty, and I had over 1000 shares submitted in about 5 seconds.
Then, a few seconds later, the pool status was dead, and I got kicked again, as described above.

I set my difficulty to d=8, and the pool set my difficulty at 3, and same kick systems happened again.

I couldn't find any other pool that has CNO listed, so stuck with lpool.name.

I do not own miners. I do hiring mining rigs to run through Ipool.name to help stabilize the network. Because there is no other dedicated public mining pool, I just set several different "workers" in the same pool to "failover" but do not know if this has happened frequently or not-it did happen not infrequently when there was other mining pool to failover which was not desirable for my purpose of supporting Coino network; most of them being switching-mining when available in the past.

I think as Coino is more active again, and more profitable, more mining pools will come back again.

Major announcement for a launch should be ready within 2 weeks.

BallonaFie (Bona Fide Fee) is Migrating to a new server and taking care of minor app glitches as well as steamlining payout. There are some inevitable delays but App should be pre-launched and tested in one month and a limited (-because this app is a campaign app by itself) public campaign should start 2-4 weeks thereafter.

Once intended calculations of rewards/faucet_drips are working as excepted, a formal launch with a build-in, brief real-word prelaunch can be started. The only difference between this two periods is a full scale of (about 10x) rewards would not be started until the full functionality of the app is confirmed to be working well.

Initially, keeping the original Coins is the only choice for either Joincoin and Coin(o) until the time is really right. It has been extremely expensive to buy-in to be listed in some major exchanges. With markedly increased usership and user bases, the picture will change, at least in terms of voting power to be listed in quite a few new exchanges.

Whether we are going to have a brand new coin (Coin_A1) in the futrue or not, only time will tell. The app could also become a platform for "appDrop" (vs airdrop) for users, in case a new coin can be creasted.
