I don't think everyone knows that the Church of Bitcoin has 11 commandments Grin

1. Praise Satoshi.
2. Honor the blockchain.
3. Thou shalt not fork thine own family.
4. Keep the network holy.
5. Thou should not covet another man's wallet.
6. Do unto others as you would have them DDoS you.
7.Thou shalt not swear unto another man that thine payment hath not been received until all of the blockchain hath been downloadeth.
8. Salt thine passwords.
9. Hack thine planet.
10. Keep thine woman, Bruces and Atlases in separate camps if they are unclean.
11. Troll harder.

https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Bitcoin_Church

On a funny note, if Satoshi Nakamoto is a God/prophet and Bitcoin a religion then Andreas Antonopoulos is definitely one of Satoshi's disciples, who is Judas? Grin

Just shared it for fun.

Disclaimer: All the commandments and names in this post are fictitious. Any resemblance to actual events or persons, living or dead, is entirely coincidental.

According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

Too bad, the actual church's website domain has seemingly expired.
This would have made me laugh tenfold had it been still alive after 5 years.

Most of these sites can not live so long, although it has been favored, but then it is gradually forgotten, and they are forced to put an end to its operation to replace it with other web.

The domain is now for sale. That domain is vey precious and maybe bought right after this thread caught attention of the crowd. That domain is good to establish foundation and I'm very tempted to buy it since I want to establish a non profit organization to help poor church world wide.

No one asked to Praise Satoshi and that is the truth .I do accept the rest of the things mentioned and it is really interesting that you come up with those.  Grin To tell you the truth i am not even sure who Judas is in this situation and who the savior will be. I just want a better system and i want bitcoin to live fore ever.

Some religious people might take offense by what is posted here, but we need a good sense of humour to compute the creators intent, when he

placed people like Jihan and Ver and Mike Hearn and CW on this planet.  Grin You can only laugh at the greed and power struggles that are going

on in the background. People rage quit, because they are not given a place in the sun.  Grin

This is deep bro. I know very little about those you mentioned even with numerous articles about  them I read. Things beginning to make sense if this is indeed true.

Even if this is just for fun, for some other people this might get offended them to their religious belief.
And in my opinion this is not a good things to use it for fun. this is an insulting to many other people and might for  them
it is disrespectful for them too.

Why your linking bitcoin with religion and also no need to do this kind of thing . Bitcoin is greatest revolutionary thing for human goods trading  initially stated with exchange things/goods for another , then stated gold and silver for exchange the goods, then coins invested , then currency now its next thing crypto currency.

Well, we also need to laugh and smile to get away from some online stress. However, anything for that matter can be a sort of a cult -- from music, fashion. personalities, movies, toys, et. etc. We all love to be a follower of something or someone most especially if it is in line with our desire and/or needs. Certainly, for now, Bitcoin has been providing us what we want and that is to increase our wealth as it is becoming a better online business opportunity.

I am expecting the Bitcoin cult with avid followers all over the world to be spreading its good news of financial salvation to all countries in the coming years. Sadly, we don't have a papal type of a leader for now since Satoshi choose to be gone from the scene.

Everything's offending everyone today and so what? It's their problem that they're offended. I don't want to be scared of speaking in fear that I'll offend some snowflake.

Need some spare btc for a new PC that can at least run Adobe Dreamweaver.

Looks like people are having fun around the bitcoin. Some one might build a city of bitcoin in few days, with all the holy churches of bitcoin and the streets and buildings with the name of bitcoin too. That would be fun see some day. Nice concept with the church of bit[Suspicious link removed]d analogy with the 11 commandments of the Bitcoin Church.

Y'all are looking at something way out of date -- see http://churchofbitcoin.org

A properly secured wallet with bitcoin is in my opinion the safest, most secure, best all-around bet for holding wealth at this moment in history. Go ahead, call me crazy. They've been calling me crazy since 2013.

Since another couple of forks are around the corner, adding ten new commandments listed on Bitscan.

1. Thou shalt not centralise. This is anathema and the cardinal sin of bitcoinery. It counts for everything, by the way, not just mining, just in case thou were in any doubt.

2. Thou shalt be sceptical of government. Only those of a decidedly libertarian bent can be considered True Believers. The more centralised the government, the more suspicious thou should be.

3. Thou shalt not impersonate Satoshi, nor misrepresent his arguments for political gain in the blocksize debate. I’m looking at you, Craig.

4. Thou shalt not keep thy funds on an exchange.

5. Thou shalt not dabble in alts. They are the work of the Forces of Night and a distraction from the Real Deal. (Exceptions can be made)

6. Thou shalt keep control of thy private keys. Amongst other things, that means not holding funds on an exchange. They’re not wallets, thou should just pass through them after a successful trade during which thou ideally will have bought back lower.

7. Thou shalt not pronounce the name of the Beast, nor his demonic kingdom, which lieth upon the mountain called Gox.

8. Thou shalt hodl. Selling when the price is tanking is for weak hands and false believers.

9. Thou shalt not admit to losing money on bitcoin.

10. Did thou take thy funds off that exchange yet? Because thou better not come round here again until thou hast fixed that abomination.
