I have to disagree on that, it is beyond religion now. Whether Christianity or being a Muslim, it has nothing to do with ISIS for which Christians and Muslims before the Maute attack happened, are living harmoniously, yeah there are a little fire at some point because of religion conflicts but they sure get together well. That's why Marawi City became a good city. Now the incident had tarnished the relationship between Christians and Muslims in Marawi,  and even those Muslims are victim of the bad Muslim's doings. The purpose of ISIS is somewhat related to their religion but they don't demand to Christians to convert to Islamic, but they are asking whether you are a Muslim or not, if not then you will die instantly by their guns.

Here you go again. Even before the Marawi clashes, the relations between Muslims and Christians were not good in Mindanao. The Moro Islamic Liberation Front waged a violent rebellion for many decades, before laying down their arms.

It's a big problem now because they found out that Maute group are joined forces with ISIS group.
Many civilians died and evacuate because of continius attack of this group.
I don't know what's really they're aim for that action.

It maybe true, even probably it is a true. Was I always interested by one question: Why on the Philippine islands so many people are from this terrorist organization? How do they get there?

It maybe true, even probably it is a true. Was I always interested by one question: Why on the Philippine islands so many people are from this terrorist organization? How do they get there?

From what I've heard, more than 90% of the ISIS militants in Marawi were local Muslims (known as Moros). Only less than 10% of the 700 or so militants were Chechens, Arabs and other foreigners. And it is very hard to prevent these few people from infiltrating in to Philippines, given the complex geography and large population.

The bullshit in Mindanao has been going on since the spanish colonized the philippines. It happened under the americans. It happened under the japanese. It happened again when the americans regained control. And it's still happening to this day. I'd be willing to wager a useful body part it was going on before the spanish landed -- but very little records remain from the pre-colonial era. If It was my decision, I'd create an enclave, give them their own land, put all wall around it with armed guards on the PH side, resettle anyone who doesn't wish to live in that zone, refuse to do any trade or business with them, and shoot anyone who tries to cross the border. If anyone else inside the PH zone started clamoring for muslim rights, I'd deport them to the lawless zone. They've been terrorists for 300+ years, they're not going to decide to quit being terrorists by choice. They don't know anything else.

This is only my opinion based on what I see and read on some pages on social media . They said that this Maute Group are joint group of Maute and Isis.

The geopolitical situation are frightening,  new armed conflicts spreading all over the world while the old ones increasingly far from a end.

History repeats itself, we know whats about to happen, and its not a good thing.
