It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

i would take off the water blocks, put back on the other stuff, sell the waterblocks and 5970 on ebay, the last 48 hrs they've had an avg sell value of a bit over $400.  about $350 after fees if you dont have a shop.  still more than you'd get from anyone on here, i think.

for the 6990, you could possibly get a competitive price for it on this forum

yah, $300-$350 is what i was thinking for 5970's as well.

but i was told by someone else that nobody on these forums would buy them at those prices, and im inclined to agree

esp after failing to sell 5830 for $75 and 5870 for $135 (both including priority shipping charges), when they go for about 25-40% more than that on ebay or amazon, which makes it more profitable to sell there, even after fees are deducted AND including risks associated from chargebacks

The market here is a bit weird and it fluxuates based on what's available and mining news. You can also sell on the tech. Site forums, there is usually a lot of activity there (hardocp/anandtech/others).
