For what is people gonna use Deeponion? Buying child porn, drugs, weapons or even wurst? I don't want to insult anybody but if this coin is so anonymous and also connected to the deep web! Is it not gonna attract a lot of criminals?
You have to take note that even before the masses used revolutionary technologies the criminals were the ones used them first. Because they saw the advantage of using it. They need to get ahead of their competition.
Take car for example, the first cars were invented the masses were slow on adopting it. because the prominent mode of transportation at the time was horse. So they were all saying that cars were just fads, that they were not safe for travelling, that they were slow, that they were expensive, etc. But who were the ones used it first? The criminals, why because they saw the potential first. They saw that they can outran the ones chasing them and it's also a status symbol.
You have to understand the reason why people saying that cars were slow and not safe back then was because the roads that were built were not for cars but for horses. Those roads were ragged, muddy, full of horse-shit that's why they were dangerous for cars because they were not made for cars.
Now when the government started doing some infrastructures like roads that the use of cars started to get traction and everything became history. Now we are using cars in a daily basis.
As you see, modern innovations, criminals were the first ones to use them. Because they have the money, the connections, the reason to use it. Like planes, drones, high powered gun, surveillance system, bitcoin etc. They need to be innovative to survive and to get ahead of the competition and of the law and the government.
Now since they saw the potential on a technology doesn't mean that it's exclusively for them. Money is used by the criminals but does that mean that money is bad? No, it's neutral. Cryptocurrencies like DeepOnion is like that too. It can be used by criminals, yes. But that is because they saw a great use for them, to protect themselves. Just like what they did and still doing with bitcoin now. (though not that much because btc is not that anonymous now)
SO if this technology is being used by the less than 1% of the population (the criminals) just imagine what good can it do for the rest of us that will use this for good.
Just imagine funding networks like wikileaks to expose corrupt governments without the fear that you'll be tracked down. Just imagine giving to the whistleblowers so they will be protected. There are lot of uses for DeepOnion, you just have to widen your imagination, your mind and be open to the possibilities.
