Today I did a little bit better in staking.. about 3 $ONIONS. My weight is too small, my bag can't compete.

3 Onions isn't bad if you only have the airdrop amount and haven't purchased any OTC or at market. I got 2.62 today.  I think it's 10% yearly so if you figure it out you're doing OK.

Ok cool, I haven't bought any. Just staking the ones I'm receiving from the airdrop. $3.00 a day in Onions is not bad.

Can someone answer me following question.


When I stake my coins, it tells me weight xxxx.

Right now I have my coins on different addresses to keep Airdrop and Purchase apart. Does it influence the Minting process? In PPC it was better to transfer all coins on one address, instead of 10 addresses in the same wallet.

It does not influence the process. As long as your 10 addresses have 100+ coins each you should be fine, and will get more frequent "mining" payouts, especially when difficulty is low like right now.

Dev made it very clear the conditions to approve appeals. That is, if you have shown enough interests in DeepOnion before. See below for dev's original message.

Therefore, if you never posted or seldom posted in DeepOnion related threads, or talk about DeepOnion elsewhere, then you probably get no chance to be removed ban. After all, the new signature was made mandatory many days before the airdrop, and many messages posted here and in OP for it.

For those who are banned because of using old signatures, if you do appeal, we'll check your case. You will be returning to active state only if (1) you switch to the new signature (2) from your past posts that we can see you have certain interests in DeepOnion and its community.

Someone who changed the signature, but we see he did not post a single message in this forum or in any DeepOnion related subjects (except the last complaint). For those people, sorry you will be remained banned.

For those who had enough interests in DeepOnion before, we'll selectively unban on case-by-case basis. However, you won't get coins from the airdrop that just finished.

Several people appealed because they used old signature. I want to reiterate our guidance whether your account can be restored or not. Please refer to the above post.

If you never posted here, or just posted here with very simple sentence before, then please no need to appeal. Suddenly posting a lot things in this thread after being banned does not help. Dev has mentioned that airdrop might go on after the 40th.
Doesn't that sound great? Yes it's great!
That's why, you be happy even though you stake less.
A suggestion from me to you: after work when you're home already, why not open you pc and let your wallet run while you sleep?
It can probably generate staking reward for you somehow.
Coz you know you might get lucky, the network weight is sometimes low, and there's bigger chance you can get staking rewards in that situation.

Staking rate is fixed, 1st year rate is 10% i think. So it is not less and less. Staking is like mining, it may take a while for you to get it, because your weight is not that big, however, when you get it, it counts all the time accumulative, so you won't lose anything.

For example, if you have 100 coins, and you get stake after 24 hrs, you get 100 coin-day worth stake. If you get after 3 days, you will get 3 time more, or 300 coin-day worth stake.

My 2 cents about TOR (The Onion Router) and how it relates to DeepOnion.

DeepOnion wallet doesn't help TOR or the entire TOR Network.
DeepOnion utilizes TOR Network for anonymity by hiding the user's IP in the Internet.

What creates circuit and help the TOR network are TOR nodes.

Now what DeepOnion wallet does by staking is help run the DeepOnion network which is run through the TOR network.

The traffic DeepOnion wallet is generating in the TOR network is helpful for the TOR Network in my opinion!
1. there will be extra connections made and traffic generated within the TOR network
2. Due to this extra traffic other traffic is more difficult to follow
3. More IP's get hit by the exit nodes, making all TOR traffic more difficult to follow for CIA/FSB etc.

It does not help in these situations:
- DeepOnion makes no exit nodes, this is safe for deeponion users, but less good for TOR network
- You can always start a TOR exit node yourself at your Internet connection to help the TOR network.

So does the extra bandwith of DeepOnion slowdown the Tor network, or is it insignificant?

Perhaps it can motivate more people to run a Tor node.

Edit: By node I think I misspoke. I meant, it can make people run whatever give tor extra bandwidth. I really know very little about Tor.

yes, running a TOR exit node will increase the capacity of the network, so if you can encourage people to run such nodes this is very usefull.
Small note, you will be relaying traffic as a TOR exit Node (like Deeponion block updates, but also any other traffic you don't know about) to the internet. Depding on the country you live, this might be a problem or totally not.

i think 10% is for the first year.  the rate will decrease for succeeding years.  2nd year is 5%, then succeeding years (3rd, 4th, 5th... and so on) will be 1%.  hopefully by 3rd year, onion price will be high that even 1% staking will give alot of dollars.

Are the posts at bot places counted towards the requirement for airdrop or just BCT? I am totally confused now .. LMAO. For an instance I thought that I got it down that
1) We need new signature on BCT and avatar
2) we need total 10 posts either on BCT or on this forum (total 10)
3) Post needs to be good and substantive
4) Posts need to be at least 100 characters in length.
But someone there said that only BCT posts are counted and not the deeponion forum posts ! can you please clarify?

AS per my understanding running a wallet already has a TOR node inbuilt in it. So as long as your wallet is open that should be alright. You will be helping the community
