I had hoped for a triangle breakout yesterday. We're now approaching convergence, so my fear is that the breakout will be more explosive than it would have been had it occurred earlier. (i.e. more support/resistance lines broken)

My personal prediction (and position) is that we're nearing the end of price discovery mode post-crash, and we're due one more correction. Its resolution will swiftly serve as the signal to the growing number of people holding money on the sidelines, and we reach new highs before the (resumed) rally concludes.

That's my guess.

See, that's my concern.  That with the breakout being more explosive,I'm afraid that lower downsides are possible.

Before resumption of uptrend, my guesses at the likelihood of touching recent low-points:

Chance of touching $100 - 80%
Chance of touching $97 -   50%
Chance of touching $79 -   33%
Chance of touching $50 -   10%
Chance of falling below $50 - 1%

Of course, this assumes no game-changing news/events affecting the market.

It'll be interesting to see how this one plays out.

I think the general bitcoin community feels bitcoin is worth atleast 100. Right now, i feel we are at steady seas till some big players move in or something dramatic happens.

Looking at the 6 month trend graph, it looks like the trend line of the peaks and trend line of the bottoms converge to approx 115ish. I can see us staying there for a bit.

Stalemate!

I love how people get all confused when the price isn't shooting wildly in every which direction.

So, wait, the price not moving up $10 a day is bearish? I don't get it Grin First we complain about price moving up too fast, now it's not moving up fast so we sell? Ehh. Time to go to bed.

If bitcoin stayed at $115 for the next 2 months would you be happy? Think about that for a bit. Wink

Back a few months ago when bitcoin was just 10 dollars... I wonder if the amount of people investing in bitcoin now is 10 times that amount then maybe it isn't so overvalued after all?

I have a bad feeling though.

1. Bitcoin at $10 was significantly undervalued.
2. Inflation rate (reward per block) halved few months before rally started.

These reasons make $10/BTC impossible again (of course if no major negative fundamentals like SHA-256 break or MtGox closed by govt).

I wouldn't call "hold" a bullish call. It represents the sentiment that BTC are being appropriately valued.

I wonder if people will just hold until then and if nothing changes the price will go up?  It is hard to know what people will do though.
