I believe that they're popular mainly because well it was the first of all cryptocurrencies to be made. Honestly most of the other coins are scams and greedy ways that the developers make money. The only other coin I can think of that isn't a scam are dogecoins! What do you think?

So Bitcoin is the most popular crypto currency just because it was the first e-currency to be made and now on, other currencies are being made by the idea of Bitcoin. Not every other Altcoins are scam, some of them are really mean to replace money in the future, mean to be used by everyone.

i think it is the most popular currency because bitcoin is providing opportunities to the people to make money from bitcoin through trading and investment. do not think that there is any other currency which is providing you such opportunity.

Yes the main reason can be that the users of bitcoin are more than any other crypto currency and still its community is increasing. which is making bitcoin more popular. even in far future I do not think that there can be any other currency which can compete with bitcoin. bitcoin will remain as number crypto currency and is even now becoming popular in real world. in some places people are using it as fiat currency even in their local shops for shopping.

Because it has a high price in the market so ofcourse people will use or invest in bitcoin if it is sky rocketing to a high price and also it is the first crptocurrency that is made so i guess bitcoin is already a thing and it is the first so other are just a copy of bitcoin.

Because it was the first, but soon Ethereum must overcome bitcoin in trading volume and capital market.

It can overcome bitcoin in terms of trading volume but bitcoin is still going to be the most popular crypto currency. People/traders are just jumping from one coin to another if they can see that they will have good time to get some decent profit there. And that's why the market is slowly moving backwards and after a couple of days it's becoming green.

That is right, no other digital currency are more valuable than bitcoin. And also, bitcoin is so easy to earn so many people are making their way to earn and save them then sell it in the good time for a good profit.
I do the same, I save some for future use like investing in some ICOs and some things I want to buy. But what I like the most is that it can also increase it's price even if you just store it in your wallet.

that was the thing makes bitcoin irreplaceable, trustworthy. it's been grow so fast and couldn't easily get replaced by other coins with its community. the concept also far better than any other altcoin , bitcoin stand no matter issue faced in the last 8 years it's even getting bigger and better.

Actually, in terms of trading volume, Ether did overtake Bitcoin a couple of months back. So some days Ether has more trading volume, some days Bitcoin has more trading volume. In terms of market cap, it will take some time.

I don't think so. Not most of altcoins are scam. As long as it's still alive in the market and there are volume of tradera, it can't be considered as scam. Well bitcoin become more popular than other coin not because ot was the first one who created bt because it's the only currency that is exchangable for fiat money.

I do agree i i have been always supporting Dogecoin and will do i am collecting Dogecoin from long time .Even you can consider Litecoin and Ripple in a list  . They are just projects that failed, but I believe the intention of their creators wasn't to scam the adopters, they want to make their coins increase its price, they want to see people adopting it, they put some different features on their coins which make them a bit different from Bitcoin, but people don't buy it...
