6870 Crossfire stability issues while mining

I'm having a lot of trouble, it's quite frustrating. Almost always when I OC my cards, pheonix and guiminer both make my comp freeze, I dont understand, can someone give me a reference overclock for a 6870 with like 300 mhash/s? Im just having so much trouble with msi afterburner, I changed the registry thing and added those lines to msi afterburner's .cfg

What kind of power suppy do you have? Also, you may need to up your voltage on the cards to compensate for the increased clock speeds.

corsair 750TX, I read that people run it at 1020 core at stock voltage, and I tried up to like 1.22v but couldnt get past 990 mhz.

Every card is different. I have two 6870s and cant go past 990 without stability issues. Heat is also a big factor. Only way to really get extreme clocks is with a very good cooling solution. I also have a 1000w psu. If you have 2+ cards and other high end hardware, 750w might not be enough. You can use a voltage monitor to see how many watts your rig is trying to pull from the wall. The hardware list is just a reference too. Take all data with a grain of salt.

i run 2 6870's at 980mhz and drastically lower the memory clock to get about 282mh/sec. I agree with the person above that going over 1000 is very unstable. Also i am able to run the two cards and a ton of fans and other crap on a 750 so u should be fine there.
