I need some help with this, I seemed to have lost some coin here the story. I bought BTC through coinbase with a credit card. 1000$ worth I then transferred the btc to my coinb wallet because I purchase on the darknet and its an easy wallet to have setup multisig through. I bought two things off the darkweb for about 700$ using my coinb wallet There should be about 300 left in my coinb wallet I logged in last night and saw that my balance was 0 My receiving BTC adress changed obviously because I had a transaction but I cant think of anything else that could have happen? If anyone can lead me somewhere to statrt looking or give me some advice I would appreciate it.

The first move you should definitely be doing is to contact Coinbase. I'm not sure but I don't think Coinbase employees browse in these forums. https://support.coinbase.com/There's a chance they locked out your account for transacting on darknet markets though. That's a bad idea to begin with, especially when using a strict service like Coinbase.

I bought the BTC through coinbase and transferred them to my https://coinb.in/ wallet so there was no way they knew where the bitcoin went.

I bought the BTC through coinbase and transferred them to my https://coinb.in/ wallet so there was no way they knew where the bitcoin went. Oh. Sorry for the misunderstanding. I personally don't use Coinb.in, but can you check on your wallet address where the $300 worth of bitcoins was sent? You can use https://blockchain.info to trace the transactions.

Correct. With the current price of bitcoin is around $196-$197. But you says that it is $300 so you are still missing around $100. I don't use Coinb.in sorry but I think the info has been given below on how to contact them and see what happens to your bitcoin. Good luck to you and hope you can get it back. Edit: Can you try to login to your account again and see if the balance is still 0? And maybe because of the price fluctuation of bitcoin, the supposed $300 is now around $200.

I would like to thank you on behalf of the OP for such detailed links you sent out here. This should give him a lead way on where to start from. That is if his coins still haven't made their way back to his wallet by now. I once experienced a similar incident... I opened my wallet and saw $0 and zero btc. I panicked. Logged out. Few minutes later, I logged in. Prag! The coins came back. I discovered it was network issue. This hasn't happened since then.

With coinb.in you control your own private keys. Thus if anything goes wrong you can always just export your entire wallet and its private keys and import it into another desktop wallet/blockchain.info. It does say that your address still has $200 in it. Are you sure that you didn't send $800 and have $200 remaining in your account instead of the $300 you were talking about? Is this the transaction that took away your $300? https://blockchain.info/tx/b7faeaf67b03e93350fbc81f010751862939db136cc3f48d2d38356afa9e4189Again, to my understanding coinb.in is completely client side, therefore if you encounter a problem you can't resolve it by contacting support. Though i'm sure that you just had connection issues because no way could the $300 be sent to a change address as that address is its own change address. It's either you copied the wrong address or you just misunderstood the situation.

Update my wallet now shows the correct amount. This online wallet is written in javacsript. Why would it say 0 yesterday if I had 200 on the chain? BTC didnt fluctuate down 200 dollars yesterday so there should have been money in there yesterday but it said 0.
I was pissed the whole day too, I'm relieved now, why would it lag like that? Is a javascript written wallet safe?
I have a ledger s I'm about to start using for all my purchases. I bought it and never used it but It seems like the best route and its impossible to get into since it's authenticated physically through you outside te actual network

Good to hear that you already got the $200 in your wallet. I guess who have learn your lessons well and should move out your bitcoin to more reliable wallet like Electrum. I'm not really sure if is written in Java or why it lag on your end. Yes, you can also used your Nano s its a hardware wallet and its the best wallet you can get. Just used Electrum wallet for you day to day used then just transferred it to Nano S.

I don't like electrum though because it won't let you multisig sign on hansa like coin.b allows. Id rather jut use my ledger for everthing because I don't transact many times a day.
