This concept is very complicated when we handed out our ETH to get token through new kind of ICO. What future will be of the those ETH which will be locked for mining purpose these will get burned or we can take withdraw when we want to off this.
When you deposit the ETH with the Bether Wallet, you can acquire Mining Contracts.  Once you acquire Mining Contracts the ETH pass to the Bether Community.  The ETH continue to be managed by the community through a voting mechanism in the smart contract.

lol i don't think you can get far away with this, also no mining? what are the plans, to do an ico like with ethereum and directly go to pos? bad idea, i would prefer if there was a mining phase to distribute better the coins
The coins are 100% minable through a Smart Automated Mining mechanism.  There is no ICO.  There are no founder tokens and the ETH only go to where the community votes they will go.  It's a better distribution than one which requires hardware miners as it lowers the entry barrier and allows more people to join.

Interesting take on mining. Looks suspicious though. I'll keep an eye on this one.

Because it might seem suspicious there is a 25,000 USD security bounty on the smart contract.  Hopefully the smart contract is well scrutinised

I don't know what to think about this Roll Eyes

Hope bether will not become bitter at the end. LOL I remembered one coin also, the zeth = zcash + ether. Now, we have bether. I don't know if same dev created these projects. But the good thing here is, 0% premine & 0% founder's allocation but the catch is - all the eth collected will be treated as donations to the Bether foundation.  Shocked

FUCKING DAVE WILKINSON AGAIN

THIS IS A SCAM!!

This project has nothing to do with ZETH, Zethereum or Dave Wilkinson. BTH already has a smart contract published on Ethereum which everyone is free to inspect:

Nice to have marketing campaigns

Thanks.  What would you like to see in Bether as a marketing campaign?

There is no minimum amount of ETH to be sent.  Each Wei sent to the contract gets you 1 Hash.  The resulting BTH rewards per block will be proportional to your Hash Rate relative to the total Hash Rate of all miners.

I transferred 0.01 ETH to my BTH wallet to test, and when I try to contribute with 0.00999 (to take into account fees) I can't contribute... what is happening?

Thanks. This was clarified:
How to contribute
2 ways to contribute
  • Using the Bether wallet, once you have ETH deposited, click the amount you wish to contribute. Note: it will take about 0.005 ETH to execute the contract so remove 0.005 ETH from the full amount
  • Using your favourite wallet, send ETH to the Smart Contract address 0xac2e5be23611c685676cb8e824303030cdb97fbb - Note: make sure to raise the gas limit to 200,000.

You can try and change the node on the top right.  Alternatively you can use your favourite wallet to send to the smart contract directly.

182 ETH contributed already.

I understand you have been scammed before by some Dave Wilkinson and he deeply hurt your feelings and I feel sorry for you.  I'll copy/paste my previous answer to your same comment.  Kindly add some supportive evidence to your very red statement.

It's really hard to convince people here especially that your project has coinage similarity with zeth and other projects that combined 2 known altcoins that turned out to be scam or crap. Anyway, if bth is really serious, it will show in the development stage and you can still gain loyal supporters even if there are people still doubting your motives. You need to prove them in a hard way.
