Hello guys, I was looking for GPU's in different stores here in the Philippines, Metro Manila. It seems that miners are hoarding the cards. I can't find a 1080 GPU. What can you say? Would this affect the computer market?
There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

Do not worry about it, in 2 weeks or so you will have plenty of choices. Those people hoarding gpu's will start selling at 80% off.

I would not buy anything if any decently priced cards are not available. Best you can do is hope Ethereum tanks, Metropolis goes into effect, and miners start selling cartfuls of GPUs discounted.

Lol. I've heard news about this on facebook that some gamers and computer savys are blaming miners here in our country because they're buying all the GPUs available in market. Also they are right, mjners are selling their GPU afterwards to upgrade their miners.

Why would they sell it in a discounted price?

Thanks for this. Is it okay to use second hand cards?

What do you mean by this, sir?
