Will this free coin be POW only or a POW/POS hybrid?

depends on the selected Settings from the winner.
for me it make no difference between a full "d"pos coin with lets say static reward
or any hybrid where you mix pos pow dpos Zero blocks
and or just mineable by pow ...  or Setup the shit that staking is only allowed for you / possible



.. this makes maybe 10 minutes difference between "this or that" ...

sure .. if you want each 10 blocks a different reward  which make no sense
and These reward structure for the next 25 years with a 3 seconds block time...


this would Need more time..
but we should Keep realistic...    and atleast i would let you know when
 your wishes turn from "fancy idea"  into " waste my time"

If I were to win, what's the best way to ensure people won't complain, "I can't connect?" Would setting up two cheap  VPS at Vultr be sufficient? Also, do I need to get a couple of domain names or will just the ip addresses work to hardcode the seednodes? Furthermore, will the setgenerate command still be available? This is handy if I want to generate a few blocks with a core or two before launch.

A: provide some node which is online and hardcoded

A: some simple vps is enough, the function behind a seed node is Primary to provide/share a list with ip`s

A: no Need to do this,  it make no difference....   some DNS simply Redirect to your IP
A: but some Dyndns is a useful Thing,  but not recommend.    < as example >> noip.com

A: no, the cpu miner inside the Client is disabled.
A: but you can do this with any random cpu or gpu miner Software  <cpumultiminer> should give you some results on Google.
